Selling 15 iPhones, we found in the trash, to a machine at Walmart. We found 15 iphones in a dumpster and decided to see how much money we could get for them from ECOATM.

Hey don't knock the cheap giveaway phones.😉 I had on last a year & a half once!. It was even a smart phone too. My sister didn't quite believe me when I said it was a smartphone but it technically was. I was able to very slowly sort of access the internet & look up bus routes. Alas the second was $50 & didn't last 6 months. Thank goodness for amazon. I got me a Moto E4+ for $99 & it's still going strong. Won't hold a charge too long but it's still going after over 3 years now. I can even access the internet & sometimes find where the damn bus is. Sometimes, is on the bus people though. Now I'm finally going to get a good one, for me, but haven't decided on exactly what yet. I tried replacing the battery instead since I usually just use my tablet instead of my phone anyway. But I couldn't get the damn screws out. I really though it would be something like trying to remove a glued in battery that would beat me. But at least I tried.

Steph and Steve, I just ABSOLUTELY Love watching the both of you. I can't wait for Evening to come and I can relax from Caring for my Mother. I turn on my IPad so that I can see your Treasures. I have to tell you that I went DUMPSTER DIVING today. I didn't find anything but that was O.K. It looked like the Trash Man had already been th. I was LOL because I had my friend with me and she has OCD. the look on her face was priceless. Thank You for making my night so enjoyable. God Bless and stay HEALTHY.

I googled “sell my phone kiosk” or something and it came up. There are many of them around I guess with different names, so try Walmart or google ❤️

Reminds me of when I tried to get an estimate for my items at Best Buy. They were willing to give me five dollars for my Wii and $10 for my DSLR camera then I paid $350 for.

No way I would’ve given the machine any phone that said no value

I worked for Motorola for 10 years. The wire bonding process is phenomenal! It would take a lot of phones to reach 60 million in gold and silver!

Don't know if you guys knew this or not but you get about 1/4 of the value that the ecoATM would give you if the phone does not power on so if you charge them before going to the kiosk you could have potentially increase what you got by about 40 to 50%

The 5s wasn’t plugged in before you closed the door.😂 Then the machine prompted that over $60million in gold and silver are wasted by not recycling your phones, right before it says no cash value. LOL They should rebrand these things as Scam Machins. 😂

Thank you for taking so much of your time to make sure they were recycled.

I want the whole thing on these machines. Every cell phone has intrinsic value. The vast majority of the older cell phones go to different countries. They're refurbished and sold for a nice profit. Even if they don't work they have parts. You have to keep in mind that the United States and a select few other countries run 5G. The vast majority of countries around the world still only use 3G. All of these phones have value or they would not take it. No company in America will take your trash unless they are paid for it.

Do you know how the precious metals are extracted? They use a huge amount of chemicals. They don't just scrape them off the components, just FYI
