Good point, i never thought of that, but your so right, here in the UK the Lords/Ladys leave "ancestral" homes to usually eldest child but other children as well to live there etc ,Aaron clearly thought he was spending a fortune on allowing Candy to buy and build a "family" home i bet he thought the children would end up living there, yet both had left home by the time it was finished, yes, each child could have had a wing and own entrance and Candy the middle part, would not have taken much to zone it off, but sadly after watching this i can see Candy built the house for her own ego, i feel so sorry now for Tori who i didn't really have much pity for her i thought she was spoilet, she was, but its not her fault, her dad gave her everything and Candy was jealous of that, Tori watched her mum spend like its going out of fashion tomorrow. Then help homeless people or people who really need help. Help them pay a bill. Buy some groceries for them. Pay for someone's medical bills. Give my 10% to God of course. It's so sad that Aarron Spelling left his children with so very little. Candy probably had a lot to do with it. I read that they didn't want to give the inheritance to the children because of their overspending. But look at what the mother spends on. She is the biggest overspender out of them all. I hope she realizes it's best to be remembered for your kindness and generosity. Then being hard towards your children. That was a good price for the house but the new owners will have to update everything. That house was so outdated.
@mycatlovesme1592 жыл бұрын
I heard they didn’t give money or large inheritance to the children because they didn’t want the money to change them. Candy spelling is still alive so eventually she will be giving away her $500 million to her kids. Bill gates is worth $66 billion and he told the world early on his children will receive $10 million each after he dies . Again they want to make sure their children trail-blaze their own way. I think more families should do the same.
@numbernine34363 жыл бұрын
You have to blame much of this mess on Aaron. It seems he cared about work & his wife. The children were another collection that she decided she didn't like afterall. Imo their children grew accustom to a certain lifestyle bc of their parents yet they're left out of the will. No doubt Mr Spelling was an intelligent creative man. He should have been more creative with his will. His offspring should have been provided for with provisions attached to ensure their lives weren't wasted. I've read of very creative wills stipulating education, allowances at different ages and so on. They made Tori the mess she became. Similar to raising an animal in a domestic setting then setting it free expecting it to thrive in the wild when it wasn't raised to do so. I bet Candy doesn't have a true friend in this world.

Right on. I think he did provide for them more equitably and generously. I don’t think she exerted undue influence because the date of execution was not suspicious but I think she substituted a forgery. It was a gross oversimplification that only even considered the children as an afterthought to prevent them from risking the loss of their token gifts if they challenged it. A will that so obviously unfairly favors a person who then is so greedy with it seems like it tells on itself to me.

@@RyanPowerhouse tv isn't what it was in the '80s and 90s and even 2000s. When aaron made his money as a television producer people watched television everyday. There wasn't another option for entertainment like there is now. Today we have youtube and Hulu and Netflix and things that you have to pay to watch...when I was a kid everyone watched network and cable was barely a thing. television and nbc and abc were free and cbs..if you could afford a tube t.v and an antenna you got to watch shows...now everything is done on our phones and computers. We have two flat screens in my home and we don't use them. We stopped paying for cable years ago. My family all does their viewing on their tablets or phones and we use Amazon prime and hulu...to be honest that's more for the kids because all I watch on hulu is old stuff like step by step and use free apps to watch the nanny and fresh prince of bel-air. Most people watched the same shows on the same channels every night. That era is gone and so the chances of anyone being able to replicate what aaron accomplished or surpass him is probably not going to happen. Charlie's angels and love boat and dynasty were shows people watched around the world but mostly on the same night and your time zones were all watching at the same time..everyone watched dynasty when I was a kid and i still rember hearing my mom talk on the phone about crystal and Alexis fighting and the clothes..aaron gave me memories of my childhood through the shows he produced. People are still making shows and money off of Aaron..dynasty is being rebooted and I'm not sure why..and they made 90210...the golden age of television died with Aaron imo. Stay safe and healthy.

Tori complains she never has money, Candy is drenched in wealth. Honestly, in a way I think Tori and her brother should have gotten more money when Aaron died. Those are his biological kids. If he had divorced Candy the kids would be rolling in dough. Sometimes I don't get why parents leave the lions share always to the spouse. Why does the spouse deserve it more than your own kids? Candy is epitome of excess. Its no surprise Tori did the same thing except Tori couldn't pay all the bills for it. Tori had her mom as the female role model. I get why it screwed Tori up. Tori didn't realize what a hole she was digging herself. No-one taught her. This is just so icky to me.

This is really sad to see the end of an era because Aaron spelling did create some of the most magical TV that will be watched & enjoyed for generations to come. In fact, there should be a genre named after the esteemed, Mr. Aaron Spelling that bears his legendary name, and perhaps entitled: The Spelling Error ( all puns intended, though not intentional )! However, I wonder if Candy ever thought of perhaps making the Spelling Manor into posh hotel , as it must cost millions, a year, just to maintain, or it could be used as a venue for grandiose parties or weddings, and maybe, she could even partake in entertaining her guests, also. Furthermore, She could also make it into an iconic, Hollywood museum & have tours, Graceland style, but she could have museum, like tours not just about rich Hollywood history, but also, the extraordinary showcasing of her astounding, art collection, from antiques to the whimsical, as in the beanie babies! I only say that because it must've been tragically hard for her to part with a family home that she "built," & that Aaron worked so hard to pay for. The house was not just owned by a TV legend & tycoon, but it is a legend onto itself, as being the biggest house, in California & America which is also an extraordinary architectural feat, esp m since Candy had a hand in the design of the house as well as it's carefully, curated decor which is also history, onto itself! The Spelling's truly are American royalty. However, what's baffling, other than wanting one's independence, is how she lived in a hotel sized home and yet, she could've had Randy's & Tori's family (who struggled greatly, financially ) live there,& it would've been like they, each, had their own home due to the house's enormity! Sadly, I get the sense that there was also bad blood which is really tragic. Also, to amass such wealth, but watch your daughter struggle & suffer, to near bankruptcy, and live as a broke, Hollywood "has been" is just unforgivable. I understand that I will never know the inner workings of their relationships, but it seems as though, something's tragically amiss! If I had this kind of wealth and money, I wouldn't want this gigantic, lonely house that has more rooms than I would ever know what to do with. No, I'd rather live in nature and have a small home that I could maintain to perfection and travel, and do something meaningful with my enormous wealth, like help the homeless, both humans & animals! I understand that sounds like a cliché, but it is true, nonetheless, and I did so, when I did have some money, though I wasn't wealthy! However, this mentality, of excess is so foreign, to me! However, I can't imagine having the money this family does, and yet, when Tori was struggling financially, her mother did not seem to give her any help, and that is unfathomable, to me ! If everyone, in their life, lived both, poverty & wealth, they'd really appreciate what they have, and to be more compassionate to those who don't! I truly hope that the spelling family can repair and mend the fences because Mrs. spelling does seem like a very sweet person, and there are no Aires or pretenses about her! I understand that families have complicated history 's that are only known to them, but I pray they work It out! Randi & Tori seem very down to earth, considering they probably had the wealthiest parents in Hollywood. I wish this family nothing but the best, and if their relationships are still strained, I truly pray that they can reconcile, and live happily ever after as Aaron would've scripted it! Aaron Spelling was very talented, a true visionary, and one of the most astoundingly, talented cultivators of pop-culture and iconic TV that will live on throughout history. Rest in peace, Mr. Aaron Spelling!
