The only people that say "money can't buy you happiness" are the ones who have never had to put a hungry child to bed or prayed the electric would not be disconnected during a blizzard. Money might not buy "happiness" but it sure as hell can buy you a peace of mind.

there are extremes this way or that......if you're starving money can take away starvation. If you're homeless, money can buy a roof. If you're not clothed properly, money can cover you. So in a sense it helps, of course.

👏👏👏👏 And money gives you options. And if you have money you can buy a home somewhere where its quiet, except the beautiful sounds of nature, the air is clean & crisp with a beautiful view. That alone is essential to mental & emotional health. HAPPINESS.

I’m not sure is she was a gold digger persay… that would be like calling Kathy Hilton a gold Digger … they married men who had money yes but they barred them children… Is Candy outrageous for only giving Tori 800k after dad died? Sure! So mostly I would label her as greedy over a gold digger. Is 800k a butt load of money? Hell yes! That’s a lottery win for Most of us so yes, Candy should Have given waaaaaay more to her two Kids. She didn’t. Sad. She cut herself off and to me that’s the saddest of all

My mom's cousin used to be a maid at the Spelling Manor. She said the maids had 2 rooms each in one section of the manor. When she told us about the doll room, I thought she was making it up. Being 9, I couldn't wrap my head around how anyone would dedicate a room to dolls. She also said Aaron was kind, Tori was spoiled, Randy was quiet, and no comment about Candy.

This is a Family Estate that was built out of LOVE. I don't understand why the adult children didn't get a wing in the house to raise their families? Good point, i never thought of that, but your so right, here in the UK the Lords/Ladys leave "ancestral" homes to usually eldest child but other children as well to live there etc ,Aaron clearly thought he was spending a fortune on allowing Candy to buy and build a "family" home i bet he thought the children would end up living there, yet both had left home by the time it was finished, yes, each child could have had a wing and own entrance and Candy the middle part, would not have taken much to zone it off, but sadly after watching this i can see Candy built the house for her own ego, i feel so sorry now for Tori who i didn't really have much pity for her i thought she was spoilet, she was, but its not her fault, her dad gave her everything and Candy was jealous of that, Tori watched her mum spend like its going out of fashion tomorrow. Tori and her brother were born into and lived nothing but the good life and never knowing reality, Candy admits she stated out poor so she should have known better,

I don’t understand it either…but when EVERYONE you know since day one…LIVES in some kind of Mansion and Daddy and Mommy entertain EVERY KNOWN or Rich person in the WORLD, you can see how Tory’s fantasy was a “small” house. These were Spoiled kids after all. Maybe she thought the kids hadn’t earned the right to inherit the house? Instead another young spoiled brat brought it “for Privacy”. 😂Now it’s in the Market again thank goodness! I hope a Family buys it…this time.

I loved the story she told about Aaron Spelling going down to the fans and thanking them for building thier house. He said, if it wasn't for them we wouldn't have all of this. ELVIS PRESLEY, said the same thing. Those two men got it and showed thier appreciation for the fan's. If I had money like this.....I'd rather building a house that waz comfortable for my husband and myself. Then spend the rest on making sure my family was taken care of. Then help homeless people or people who really need help. Help them pay a bill. Buy some groceries for them. Pay for someone's medical bills. Give my 10% to God of course. I guess that's why it probably won't ever happen for me. God's in control. CANDY SPELLING, you are not lucky....you are blessed.

It's so sad that Aarron Spelling left his children with so very little. Candy probably had a lot to do with it. I read that they didn't want to give the inheritance to the children because of their overspending. But look at what the mother spends on. She is the biggest overspender out of them all. I hope she realizes it's best to be remembered for your kindness and generosity. Then being hard towards your children. That was a good price for the house but the new owners will have to update everything. That house was so outdated.
@mycatlovesme159

I heard they didn’t give money or large inheritance to the children because they didn’t want the money to change them. Candy spelling is still alive so eventually she will be giving away her $500 million to her kids. Bill gates is worth $66 billion and he told the world early on his children will receive $10 million each after he dies . Again they want to make sure their children trail-blaze their own way. I think more families should do the same.

You have to blame much of this mess on Aaron. It seems he cared about work & his wife. The children were another collection that she decided she didn't like afterall. Imo their children grew accustom to a certain lifestyle bc of their parents yet they're left out of the will. No doubt Mr Spelling was an intelligent creative man. He should have been more creative with his will. His offspring should have been provided for with provisions attached to ensure their lives weren't wasted. I've read of very creative wills stipulating education, allowances at different ages and so on. They made Tori the mess she became. Similar to raising an animal in a domestic setting then setting it free expecting it to thrive in the wild when it wasn't raised to do so. I bet Candy doesn't have a true friend in this world.

Right on. I think he did provide for them more equitably and generously. I don’t think she exerted undue influence because the date of execution was not suspicious but I think she substituted a forgery. It was a gross oversimplification that only even considered the children as an afterthought to prevent them from risking the loss of their token gifts if they challenged it. A will that so obviously unfairly favors a person who then is so greedy with it seems like it tells on itself to me.

@@RyanPowerhouse tv isn't what it was in the '80s and 90s and even 2000s. When aaron made his money as a television producer people watched television everyday. There wasn't another option for entertainment like there is now. Today we have youtube and Hulu and Netflix and things that you have to pay to watch...when I was a kid everyone watched network and cable was barely a thing. television and nbc and abc were free and cbs..if you could afford a tube t.v and an antenna you got to watch shows...now everything is done on our phones and computers. We have two flat screens in my home and we don't use them. We stopped paying for cable years ago. My family all does their viewing on their tablets or phones and we use Amazon prime and hulu...to be honest that's more for the kids because all I watch on hulu is old stuff like step by step and use free apps to watch the nanny and fresh prince of bel-air. Most people watched the same shows on the same channels every night. That era is gone and so the chances of anyone being able to replicate what aaron accomplished or surpass him is probably not going to happen. Charlie's angels and love boat and dynasty were shows people watched around the world but mostly on the same night and your time zones were all watching at the same time..everyone watched dynasty when I was a kid and i still rember hearing my mom talk on the phone about crystal and Alexis fighting and the clothes..aaron gave me memories of my childhood through the shows he produced. People are still making shows and money off of Aaron..dynasty is being rebooted and I'm not sure why..and they made 90210...the golden age of television died with Aaron imo. Stay safe and healthy.

All that money for a home yet the family is completely fractured. Pretty ironic. Toris brother doesn't have much money and lives in an extremely humble house. Tori complains she never has money, Candy is drenched in wealth. Honestly, in a way I think Tori and her brother should have gotten more money when Aaron died. Those are his biological kids. If he had divorced Candy the kids would be rolling in dough. Sometimes I don't get why parents leave the lions share always to the spouse. Why does the spouse deserve it more than your own kids? Candy is epitome of excess. Its no surprise Tori did the same thing except Tori couldn't pay all the bills for it. Tori had her mom as the female role model. I get why it screwed Tori up. Tori didn't realize what a hole she was digging herself. No-one taught her. This is just so icky to me.

Wow, so much to manage when so many are in real need. I hope Candy has learnt that to help people in need will make her feel good also. Just overwhelming that someone would want to collect so much. I have little but feel that I must share after seeing this.

No she hasn’t learnt anything. She just downsized her greed to a 17,000 sq ft(approx) two floor condo.

Rock Hudson couldn't have been in this house. Perhaps the Crosby house? He died October 1985 and construction on this house didn't start until 1986.

Sold for 85 million cash. I doubt she'll leave either of her kids very much when she does. She'll leave it all to charity which is a shame. If I had money like that I would want my family set up for generations to come. Why struggle. Of course I would give to Charities and things like that.

Candy doesn't realize how rediculous this makes her look. She made this monster, I don't feel sorry for her one bit. Just a portion of what she spent to build it, not to mention the gigantic hoard she filled it with, could have done so much good in the world. She is such a control freak and it's all about her. She loved that house more than she loved those kids. This whole thing is sad and pathetic.

Notice how she says “I NEED this. I NEED that.” And I’m like “no you don’t need that. You WANT that but there’s no way you need thousands of teddy bears and a wine cellar bigger than the average bedroom.

"He went to work to do television and I built the house "... WHAT?! I think what she meant to say was "he went to work and made all the money to pay for all the people like the construction workers, design company, etc while I just did nothing but approve which fabric I wanted or how many bathrooms should be on the 2nd floor". What a way to under-appreciatte your husband's hard work and your easy life as a Beverly Hills housewife. You can feel the actual stuck up, I am better than you are aura she puts off through the video. No wonder her kids have so many issues with her in particular after their father passed away. Edit: Tori needs to get her dolls back. She was left nothing in her father's inheritance, probably due to the mom saying not to, but those dolls are worth some money.

Really kind of sexist that everyone faults Candy 100% for the greed of this lifestyle and pin none of it on Aaron. She may have had their checkbook in her hands most of the time, but he’s the one who handed it to her.

He probably did it to make her happy and be able to live with her and keep his family happy and intact...he did for his kids also and I imagine he was not a selfish man with his family...he was working all the time to pay for all this and did his job...he would have probably been just as happy in a normal size house.

Personally I don't think is a problem if a house is big or small... It's disgusting the way she abused her children, especially Tori. The final financial settlement just reflects a hint of how abusive this woman was. For sure in those type of dysfunctional families also the father is responsible and abusive someway, of course. The then adults are responsible. And this woman keeps insulting Tori in her interviews.
