Hi Mey - just wanted to pass on this information I received the other day in relation to Canva Templates. Even though they give you the Canva logos, you are not allowed to use them in listing photos etc. This came from Canva. "Please note that using "Canva" as part of a trademark (business name or logo) or a product name is not permitted. However if the use of "Canva" in the name is descriptive and not the main feature (example: ABC Teaches Canva), such use is allowed. In addition, we're more than happy for the Canva name to be referred to descriptively in content. However, any reference to the Canva name must be in plain text (not using any stylized version of the Canva name or the Canva logos) and the reference must be informational or descriptive in nature. This means you can only refer to the Canva name to describe Canva as a product or service, and using the Canva name commercially or otherwise as a brand identifier is not permitted." I know this will impact on a lot of Canva Template sellers. 🙁

Thank you for this. I sell Canva frame templates and I have been going back and forth in my mind about using the Canva logo in my product listing photos. So basically, I can't put their logo, but I can say "custom frames for Canva"?

@@hippoandkiwistudio yes, I think that would be fine. I am changing mine to say 'editable in Canva' in my brand font and colours.

Thank you for this! I see many people selling canva templates on different websites. Honestly, I have washed my hands off canva.

Okay, so I don't use Procreate (I'll give it a try if they ever make a Windows version), but unless Procreate brushes are very different from brushes in Photoshop and other software, I can tell you that Photoshop Action Files are something completely different. In Photoshop, you have the ability to "record" actions or a series of actions that you do in Photoshop, and then you can play that action back later to automatically do the action or series of actions you previously recorded. There is a ton of stuff you can do with this, but a very quick example is that you create an action file that resizes an image, rotates it, and then applies a filter. So when you go back and play that action file later, it will perform those three steps for you instead of having to manually do them all separately. These action files can be exported and then you can sell them for other people to import into Photoshop to use for their own projects. I believe Corel Paintshop has a similar functionality, but I haven't personally experimented with that one, so I have no idea if Corel Paintshop lets you export them or not.

Hi Mey, Love watching your videos and this one was super helpful! Thank you! About Photoshop action files. I used one action files, only once. From what I understood, these files pre-record a certain action or series of effects you want on the file you are working on. For instance, the one I downloaded and used, could turn an image into a line art by simply clicking and activating the action file. There are other action files that can help you achieve different kinds of effects by just downloading or clicking them. Say you want to add some specific metallic lustre to an object, you download an action file and click on it. You get your effect. These are like shortcuts to entire Photoshop processes to get a desired effect. I am not an expert, but that's my understanding. In that respect, yes, you load them like brushes and activate them to get a certain effect for your file.

Love your singing voice at the end of the video. Literally, that 3 seconds made me tear up! I opened a Creative Fabrica store after watching one of your videos and using you as a referral. When I first started listing, I was not aware CF have actual people double-checking the listing to make sure it meets their requirement. Depending on what I'm listing, I have to wait 12-24 hrs to get them approved and listed. Then surprisingly starting last month, they automatically listed my products without all that waiting...YAY! Yes, I really hate their analytics! What is being sold?! Why am I getting pennies? Very frustrating not knowing what works so I can make more of that product. I rely on my Favorites for that now!... I just recently found out that you have to request your listing to be REMOVED and it takes CF 3 months to do so. I copied and pasted a listing and didn't update some of the words to match what I'm selling. So now I have two of the same product. I'm actually enjoying adding products to CF and seeing where it will go from here.

Look at it as a proofreader for free. I've been approved in 10 min before. If I notice it's taking a while, It's usually a reject. And that was mostly because something was not right. And they tell you what that is! Which is great because you can go back and change it.

@@ngocn8663 That has been happening to me for the last 3 submissions. I was just thinking it's because they were overwhelmed not that they trusted me. It actually makes me feel good that I'm actually doing things right and they noticed. That encouraging :)

Enjoyed hearing your take on Selling on CF. I would love to see a video making your own fonts on Calligrapher. Currently dabbling with different programs to see which ones are worth what ever they cost. I am slowly creating lists of all the things I want to create with each program. After a while I plan to try each one for one month to see how much of my list I can get accomplished. Then after assess which one or which ones are worth longer subscriptions. I have been a CF subscription gal for some time without even knowing all it had to offer. I did not even consider selling on there, but it could be an option for me in the future. Thanks for helping me see there is so much more to CF there than scrapbook paper backgrounds and svgs. 🙂

25 years using Photoshop. Actions are routines that save you save as a list of commands. You just push a button and "record" your steps to get the effect. Then when you want to do it again, you just choose a routine from your saved routines list and it applies it to other things you make. Like a gradient you want to put on several stickers. Or complicated effects like engraving. Photoshop can handle really complicated actions.

Hello Mey. I’ve just been excepted on C.F after watching your videos. I was wondering if with the A.I designs I make I usually put them onto canva and adjust them in certain ways. If i download them as png file or other file format from canva once i messed around with them can i upload them to C.F as is or should I use another platform to turn them into png format or another type of file. 🇬🇧👍

This video has opened my eyes to more that I can make and why I can't find the analytics for my things lol . Ty so much. I'm glad I found you :) How do you get a "Larisa" ? Is this part of the Creative Fabrica program?

Not a fan of Photoshop, but I do love action feature that lets me "do things" overnight as I sleep. Photoshop Actions are best when you want to do multiple things to a set of images over and over. Let's say I want to change dimensions, crop image, distort it, add mask, add text, add gradient... I do this to one image and "record" what I am doing. Then I select folder with images and set Photoshop to open all the images one by one and perform same actions to all images, and save them. People that sell in POD have all kinds of actions, there is one where you can set folder with your design images, and Photoshop will create mockup images, product images for store, and clip the images to set of dimensions (tumbler, cup, pen, earrings) and save all to unique folders so you can just upload files to store. I do not have it, but always on the look out will it come on the market (or do it myself LOL).

For those watching...If you create any sort of template for real estate agents, I recommend being familiar with Fair Housing Laws, brokerage branding requirements, and the proper use of the word REALTOR. There's a whole slew of information that agents are supposed to include in their branding, because the state real estate association and brokerage require it. Also, keep in mind that there are a lot of teams in real estate and not many templates leave room for the use of two logos. This will likely get you more sales, because agents will see you are offering a template they don't have to put a lot of work into after purchase. Also, if you are located outside of the U.S., where there are different requirements and terminology, try to target buyers in your area. #knowyourniche

Thanks for sharing, but I'm still confused if the products, let's say POD, something can made with canva and AI generated stuff for example, are they over-saturated nowadays already? Since there is almost no barriers and everyone can do it. Or is it like anything that could be saturated in no time after being introduced on youtube?
