Dan did not fund for Aleks' voyage to Mount Honolulu, he did not even know he was going there in the first place. He gave him stuff because he felt bad for killing him, so technically the discovery of the Mountain was all Aleks. I just hope they don't dwell on this whole thing for another 50 episodes..

I love the Aleks and James dynamic/mock rivalry. The fireworks that are going to go off next session will be one to remember. Mark my words.

Yea the thing is Aleks is poor now. But poor people still have lava. He has nothing to lose, but James is gonna be a drug lord, with diamonds, backed by china, and backed by Dan. So he can get his resources together to kill the still poor Aleks. But then Aleks can get his lava together and Missioncraft James. However James has been hired and will most likely take Aleks mountain.

Thing is Dans is sponsoring James venture. Since James died Dan might give him a starter pack like he did with Aleks. China as a friend might help out with that and give James something. Then James has more stuff as well. However attack Aleks who has less to loss than James might not the best idea, but Dan is sponsoring, which is his motivation for the venture. China just normally supports James since they stole from him. So Dan seems like the bigger concern. Though all of it would end if Aleks gave in to Dans demands.
