My biggest problem is #4. Selling what I want to sell. I create, design, and sell handmade wood jewelry. This is my selected material, style and where my creative juices flow. As a an artist, designer I learned that creativity is what comes from the soul and this is what makes art so diverse because every person's expression is going to be different. When I step out of, or away from my creative zone, the expressions are not going to be as fulfilling or as good, as could have been because the piece of work is not true to its creator's vision. Therefore, I opt to lose some sales rather than going with what is popular or trending that gain sales. And may I add that I feel this goes across the board for most who are in the creative art industry.

At 28:30, you'll earn more money in the sales business once you STOP being a seller and learn to be a "facilitator". A facilitator helps people buy the product they already want and to have a great buying experience in the process. I used to sell a product that teaches sales people how to be a facilitator. Now, I just make it EASY for them to buy it and to be happy that they did.

#4... yo that hit me. I remember years ago. I bought tongue rings, I'm like oh this would be a good recovery. But then I bought more body jewelry. Then I bought hello kitty items and at that time, the wholesale was cheap and great. But my main focus was the body jewelry lol... I opened up a little shop at the swap meet and people bought way more hello kitty than the jewelry. I'm like wait, this is way easier lol. I had to change my mindset and be like hey this is what they want OR this what they rather spend money on. A person can want something and not buy it but they'll spend money on something that they can be ok with spending money on. Like lunch can be $20 and a chair can be $20... most people would buy lunch instead of the chair, even though they need a chair but not right now. I'm hungry right now. And it's really nothing personal it's just what it is.

It was so so so good! Point #4 is the biggest mistake that artists make. And they all make all the 5 mistakes. I also made all these mistakes in the past and probably I'm making a few of the mistakes now as well. Making more offer is the key that I will implement first. I am consistently trying to become more findable.
