It’s an awesome machine. I’ve been riding from 12. Now I’m 53 and I’ll never stop riding as long as I’m physically able, and you know what, I’m riding a ZX10R. I’d ride nothing less.

Im in love with this beauty ❤️😍❤️... I own a 2003 636 and trying to upgrade to her, but with 3 kids and a house, can't t afford her right now :'(

I've had a few ZX6-R's and the 03 is pretty sharp. On the right roads the 600 is just as fast anyway because you dont have to worry if its going to try to kill you when you open the throttle haha. Just enjoy the 636. great bike.

49? Young!!! I am almost 42 and will ride my 2005 until I'm 100.

yeah mate, I used to think that when I was 42 as well. I'm now 53 and things hurt. great attitude though. I ride my 848 even though it hurts like a hurty thing. really hope you are still throwing this bad boy around at 100! with some good luck and good health and you just might.

Have you read about the valve spring retainer issue?
@restobiker2 жыл бұрын
yep. gen 3 retainers fit and dont fail. when I checked the valves on this they were showing no cracks so either they had already been swapped or were holding up ok. well worth swapping out for peace of mind though I'd reckon.

Thanks. Is a steering dampner needed in your opinion? Any frame cracks?
@restobiker Жыл бұрын
@@fzr1000981 yes, I wouldnt give it the full beans without a dampener. No, no frame cracks on this one.

What steering damper is that? I would like that model for my 05 ZX10R
@restobiker5 жыл бұрын
It's an arrow adjustable dampener. Works great but seems pretty rare, I've never seen another one for the zx10r.
@xxxWyliExx5 жыл бұрын
@@restobiker thanks brother I am shopping around for a damper that won't break the bank but I'm refusing to ride the bike untill I acquire one as the bike does 80k in first gear and is impossible to keep the tire on the pavement

What's the difference between this one and the zx10r 2006 model
@restobiker2 жыл бұрын
2006 was 'toned down' a little to make it a bit more manageable apparently. bet its still blisteringly sharp though.
@joshuaowens4797 Жыл бұрын
@@restobiker2006 was heavier too.

Is this still a available?
@restobiker4 жыл бұрын
I've still got it but have decided I love it too much to sell. Might let go for the right price but that would be about 3.5k and even then I'd be in two minds. Cheers for interest.

@@restobiker Totally! I've got one too. Mine has optional Akra pipe, sprint filter, ape titanium retainers, racing springs, flash, and +2 on the rear sprocket. Shit pulls like mad! Completely outclassed the '13 R1 last time racing my buddy lol! Anyways, the way I see it is these machines may start appreciating slowly. Even if they don't, for the money they go for, the thrill it delivers, and love I have towards mine, there is no way I'm gonna sell mine...
