Big White plastic screw is used in cymbals packs boxes. To keep all cymbals together

@6:33 that's a Pearl adjustable beater weight. It sucks bc the diameter is a bit large for most beaters. So it rattles a lot. And the movable parts tend to rattle a lot too (in spite of the rubber parts designed to prevent that) so the whole purpose of it being adjustable in weight without removing the beater is totally ruined. It's a shit show. Just use one or two ordinary beater weights.

You know the main thing that sucks about living in a small town is there isn't many other musicians around to buy second hand stuff from, so I almost always have to buy new, online without being able to try it out. I'd have so much stuff if I had the ability to buy second hand.

And I thought I had a lot of 'drum stuff'! I've got a whole bedroom in my house full of drums, cymbals, and related gear, plus a kit permanently set up in my living room as a practice kit (I live alone so nobody to complain about the decor), plus my old studio at my daughter's house full of gear too. And two kits set up at the two churches I play at. Can you say 'drumitis'? The herd's going to get thinned out soon so I too will be selling off some good stuff soon. The hard part is deciding what to part with. Decisions decisions.

If that nylon nut/bolt is the right diameter, use it to screw your cymbals together in your bag. I've used a nylon toilet seat bolt for this purpose for years. The little rubber felt/washer could be ancient Ludwig? One came with a very old Ludwig flat-base stand I once had, and it's still in my parts box. Great for a splash.

the fat tone hoop is a blatant copy of the Gretsch 302. probably the best hoop you can find on the market. acts like a die cast but feels like a flanged hoop. which basically leave the drum tone and you still get the benefit of a stronger hoop concerning tuning and stability.
