Your boy is sure a wonderful young man. I say man because he’s doing a lot of manly things in his life. Still got a lot of growing to do, But, mom and dad have got to be proud of all “their” imprinting they’ve done with him so far. I think every American child should be raised on a ranch or farm. To many of our children in this society have been raised in the terrible school systems and spend most of their time doing video games in the parents basements and don’t have a clue about patriotism, integrity or life in general. Thanks for giving us all a glimpse of the goodness you give your horses and the love you put into it. Blessings to all🙏❤️

You guys are great for taking in so many head, they needed some TLC. Blake's new buckskin is so cool!! Love his coloring and markings. Always upsetting to see the younger geldings and colts get beat up by the studs. There's nothing wrong with letting that little filly figure out, the fence always wins😂 life of hard knocks is good for livestock! Thanks again for keeping life traditional and natural for the horses. They're not our pets, they're working animals that we cherish!

When I started watching your channel I sent a link to Good Simple Living because Melissa was always mentioning getting a horse. In fact that paint filly video I forwarded to her saying it would be awesome for her daughter. And much to my surprise you sold them Frank. Spoiler alert, they have not mentioned it yet on their channel ( but she's talking about it allot). Woo Hoo! So glad your channels are now connected. So excited to see Frank become a much loved member of their family.

Greetings from western NAZ. The performance horse auctions can get the sellers (you) tens of thousands of dollars … per horse (!!) depending on level of training! I once was given a ride on a gentleman’s registered Quarter Horse, on a trail at a public park. I told the owner I wasn’t a trained rider, and he said, “No problem. My horse is bullet proof.” And, the gelding was!! After my ride, I asked the owner how much I would need to pay for a horse like his, and he said, “Oh, about $35,000.” That was in the early 2000s. So, prayers and best wishes to you, to Blake for a successful auction. The performance horse auctions are fun to watch. 😊

I think a rancher, who bought a QH Paint, off the track for his son, who trained him in ranch work. Buddy was probably 20 plus years when my parents bought him for my brother. Buddy could do everything... Cut, herd, seat a toddler safety, and even as a geriatric, kick ranch horses butt at the fair race course. OK, he wasn't even mine but I loved that boy... He also was a Paint, Buddy was a jewel. He wasn't even mine but he was adored by many

I am watching your video of your horses all tied up to the fence. You mentioned that one has broken several halters, and many of them are yanking on their ropes. A horse trainer told me years ago to loop a tire inner tube over a fence post and tie the colts to it. They won't break their halters and they won't strain their necks. I have started several colts over the years and it works. I have never broke a halter or lead rope since I started using the inner tube. Good luck, we love watching your videos in Goshen, Utah. have a great day.

So all the horses that have been branded have come from the reservation if I'm correct. My grandparents had a 6 Thousand acre ranch in New Mexico it's called the flying J but they had over 15,000 horses and 3 thousand heads of black Angus cattle, goats, rabbit's, chicken's, you name it the horses liked to live on Horse Mountain and the cattle would Rome back and forth they had tunnels so the animals did have to cross the road. I truly miss not being able to see them they both passed away in the 1970's. Even my Father had a ranch in Walldel AZ he also had black Angus cattle he passed away labor day 2017 and my stepmother got rid of everything it really hurts. I love your videos and your love for all of the Horses and animals..... Love from Arizona 🇺🇸

I have to admit I'm partial to the bays. I had two bay Arabians growing up and there overall just a nice looking horse with the dark meant and tail and legs. However with that being said 66 is an overall beautiful boy with looks and personality to boot. As for bluebell I SO wish I lived closer because I have always wanted a mare her color and some spunk is always nice hahaha. Eventually she will improve and become an amazing horse as for all of them! Would love to do what you guys are doing.

You have really nice horses for sale. On horses freaking out, I just wanted to tell you about a horse I sold. I had had this horse for about 6 months. When I bought this horse everybody asked why did you buy that!!!! He was poor and covered with crap.I told them, he looks bad now but given a chance he'll be real nice and I think he deserves a chance. He turned out really nice and I decided it was time to resale him. He did really great leading up to sale time that day. He was just as friendly and nice as he could be. But when the auctioneer said sold he went crazy. I literally thought he was going to tear the barn down. We got him to the back of the barn and he was ripping the barn apart. I got back there to him to let him know he was going home with me. As soon as I told him this he calmed down just as happy as he could be. You never know how they are going to react

On the halter breaking horse, lace a lariat rope through the halter, up over the ears and around the nose. Knot that together at the snap ring. With that adjusted, the pull will be right behind the ears, and it won't pop off the nose. The fella that showed it to me called it a war bridle. It won't break, won't choke, and they will give to the hard pressure behind the ears. I have seen my Uncles, rope them throw a half hitch around the nose and teach them to lead and stand in a hurry. I would rather see a bad one hung on a wall that the cain't get a front foot through.

Not mean at all,They gotta learn patience and the rope halter is best for pullers . Large strap halter doesn't give much pain/pressure . Rope halter discourages pulling after that pain kicks in from being silly like that.

I agree with you one hundred percent I had a horse that loves to pull back. I put a sturdy halter on her. tied her to a tree . She learn how to stand there in the shade all day long. She pulls back a lot and dug a big hole but now she stands perfectly when she is tied best horse I ever had.
@davidfisher1108
@davidfisher1108 3 жыл бұрын
Another way to stop them from pulling back is taking a Lariat rope around the back of the weather's and have the hondu underneath like in the cinch area and run it up to the halter and tie it a foot or more shorter than your lead rope. When they pull back it tights up making harder for them to breathe but loosens up when they step up.
