That's a great find and the body is beautiful. I think the competition between Losi and Associated of that era really led to the design improvements in the off road buggies. I would Luke to see more Losi cars, if you can find them at a reasonable price, which won't be easy. Thanks for sharing. Happy holidays and a happy and healthy new year.

Hi Gavin, I'm totally with you on the cab forward modern designs - yeugh! - much prefer the look of the 80's 90's buggies. My son did really well in mid 90's racing our Losi xx and Schumi Cat 2000 - great cars. I was more of a Schumacher fanboy with a Cougar 2000. I'm currently building my Classic Procat - quite a fiddly and demanding build compared to later kits. You definately need an RC10T to complete your Associated collection. I've still got my RC10T with full RPM Ultramold chassis conversion from back in the day. A lovely car and the only one I still have from the 90's which my son will get when I'm pushing up daisies. 😂

@@RCKickschannel Right on! Something to keep in mind with the RTR is the shock caps were specific to it and not on the 1.0, 2.0 or later models. Very nice video Gavin👍 I like to see more competition buggies! Also I never had a Losi, TLR was and is competitive every time! I don't see an EA3 mark anywhere on the chassis. If there's no EA3 mark on that chassis then it's not the right chassis for the CR buggy. On a Losi car they mark every part if it's graphite or EA3. The non graphite and non EA3 parts tend to be much cheaper and easier to get so those parts end up on restorations.
@72twink2 жыл бұрын
I was just about to say this as well, my XXX CR has EA3 printed big and bold under each side pod, so that chassis is a standard XXX one.

Which ever way you look at it, to me they are not worth that sort of money, or from any seller that is asking that sort of money for them. The fact is that a car like that, that is made from very cheaply made parts with a very cheap build quality in materials alone is not worth a silly value asking price. Just because they are a now an old, and no longer made sort of collectable, does not mean they are worth paying silly money, or any sellers silly asking prices like 5 or 6 hundred pounds or more for them. For that sort of money today or a bit extra you can buy a top grade very high quality RC car today. Dont let your heart rule over your head by giving in to pay over the top silly prices like this. If nobody pays these silly over the top prices, then the sellers could not ask any price they liked and get the money they asked for, for what is in fact simply a very cheaply made parts and build quality RC car.
@RCKickschannel2 жыл бұрын
I could be wrong but I don't think thats how commerce works Ian. People pay £100k for a 1972 PORSCHE 911 2.7 T vintage car that will never out perform a 2022 Toyota GR Yaris but thats not the point. It's about nostalgia, styling and rarity due to age that add to its appeal. Once demand outgrows supply, the price increases and will continue until a balance is found. This happens every single day with almost everything. Thats why a rere XLS is £370 and a vintage SWB Cat is £1000.
