This is the loveliest comment! I’m also dealing with horrific morning sickness after getting pregnant through IVF. When you begin the new car search I recommend making sure the vehicle has easily accessible car seat anchors. Car seats can be a real pain to install if the anchors are buried deep in the seats. I once rented an SUV that didn't have car seat anchors on the back of the bench for the tether strap. This was a big issue for me as a nanny of a toddler.
@ArielRenee213 жыл бұрын
This is so real. One time my friends car was having an issue so she asked me to pick up her and her little baby. I struggled so much to get it anchored in that I strained a muscle in my chest 🤣 it was worth it though because we got it anchored safely!
@stephc10913 жыл бұрын
You can always use the seatbelt instead of latch, it is just as effective. you have to use the seat belt to install after the child hits a certain weight anyways. Top tether is definitely needed for forward facing seats but they won’t need that for at least 2 years from the time the baby is born.
@Jessa88913 жыл бұрын
Luckily newer car don't typically have this issue.

Yes!! And it sounds weird but I wish I would have had a "test" car seat to make sure there was enough room and it didnt mess with the front seats at all!

Don’t feel bad!!! I wanted to be pregnant for 6 years and I’m finally pregnant. 21 weeks now 🎉🎉 however I hate being pregnant, no one can ever really prepare you for the change in your body. So agree with you. I have not enjoyed any part of my pregnancy. I'm currently at 25 weeks and my little one keeps kicking my kidneys. Plus, I ended up developing severe gluten intolerance which had made me lose a lot of weight at the beginning of my pregnancy and was terrifying before we found the cause. And unfortunately have started getting severe migraines now 🙁. Only positive has been the counting down till we get to meet this little one in a few more weeks! Definitely more excited every day closer.

Heartburn ladies, I would drink a pint of very weak very cold cordial. 1) washes the acid down, cools and soothes, 2) dilutes the acid and 3) temporarily gives the stomach something to close around to stop it coming straight back. Good luck

You can complain any day and I’ll still watch. This really brings back to me how awful pregnancy was. I have two toddlers and hated every moment of pregnancy. As for heartburn, I hated tums but loved chewable alka seltzer, sprite, ginger chews, ritz crackers, and minty gum for some reason. I also enjoyed chocolate protein shakes on my yucky days. All the love mama!!

I don't have a secret for the heartburn other than avoiding foods that trigger it and sleeping propped up. Just not laying flat in general. For me, it was bad in the 1st trimester, not a problem in the 2nd, and then bad again from the 2nd half of my 3rd trimester until birth. I hope it's just one of those things for you that subsides as you move into the 2nd trimester. Also for me, those soft after dinner mints helped so much with the nausea, they're the only thing that helped. I was do tired that 1st trimester, holy crap, and I felt like I couldn't even remember my own name. This is a new experience for your body, just roll with it as best as you can and rest as often as you feel you need to, you're growing a whole human after all. 💜

Oh my dear, you are so allowed to complain. It's hard work to grow a little person. ❤️

I had hyper nemesis (HG) my entire pregnancy- I threw up all day every day for the whole 9 months. I got bad heartburn and acid reflux. I kept a carton of Heavy cream in the fridge and would take sips. It helped the acid - neutralized the acid (milk is a base) and helped coat my stomach. Helped me immensely!

I sure hope you feel better soon. I can see it in your eyes. I hope and pray your appointments went well this week. Best of luck and love. :)

Definitely Braggs apple cider vinegar, mixed with water, and I throw in a very tiny pinch of salt to cut the vinegar a bit. That’s my morning “shot” everyday to curb acid reflux, plus ACV is great for your metabolism! Good luck mama 🥰

Girl it’s okay to complain! I’m almost 13 weeks and the first trimester has been rough! One of the things that has helped with my nausea/throwing up is unisom. During pregnancy you can take a half tablet at night and it helps with the sickness for the next day! You will become a new person if you take it! Lol. So happy for y’all!

Please don’t feel like you’re complaining ❤️ I would love to hear about your symptoms. Going thru ivf next month and I love to know what you are feeling every week 💕💕✨✨

If the ACV doesn't help, baking soda in water usually helps. Also, Throat Coat tea (with slippery elm, marshmallow, and licorice). Finally, FDgard is somewhat helpful before/after meals. I'm trying to figure out my nausea / heartburn right now 💜

For reflux or heartburn - you should try a edge/wedge pillow. I used to have really bad acid reflux and pregnancy was making worse and I bought a wedge/edge pillow and never had to take tums, Pepcid or anything. Bed bath and beyond has some good options. So happy for you and your pregnancy. It’s also ok to be thankful for being pregnant and have a hard time with your pregnancy. Give yourself grace as pregnancy is hard! ❤️❤️❤️

I am really relieved that everything is fine! I was quite worried becaus this morning I looked for a new video on your channel and there was none. So I was afraid something had happended. - I'm glad it just seems to be a youtube problem!

I used to have that "on the verge of throwing up but now quite there" feeling *constantly* (not related to pregnancy, but we won't go into it). I found 3 things that helped it go away were - laying on my back on cold tile - very slowly sipping cold water (and I mean VERY slowly, like a teaspoon at a time) - listening to the faucet run

Pregnancy is HARD!! It’s ok to say you don’t feel great, it doesn’t make you any less happy or grateful. You can feel more than one emotion about pregnancy. I just had my third baby and threw up multiple times a day from week 6 until week 16 with all of them. I could barely move or function, even on meds and I was miserable and in pain. You’re doing so well! It’s all tough in different ways so all I can say is you’re doing great & wear those jeans while you can! I missed regular jeans during pregnancy so much haha

Elevate your head when you’re sleeping, either with a wedge pillow or multiple pillows. Anything carbonated or eating right before bed also tends to make my heartburn worse. I also take ACV capsules everyday and it helps a lot!

I had a pretty difficult pregnancy, I was so nauseous every day. What lifted my spirits was to either go for a walk or complete a task. I tried to stay within my energy levels. I refinished furniture! Super slowly... but it gave me something that I could see visible progress on every time I worked on it.

Please do not apologize for complaining!! Any mother who has suffered from morning sickness knows how awful it feels. You can be grateful and complain at the same time. We get it. Hang in there. Hopefully you feel better in a few weeks! ❤️

Try not to let anyone make you feel bad for "complaining" I was sooo sick throwing up 6-10 times a day for 25 weeks and felt horrible. I also had horrible horrible hip pain the whole time and there were always those people that would be like well you should feel blessed! & while I did and do, it doesn't make you feel any less sick. So don't let anyone make you feel bad and complain as much as you want! It's rough!

Stomach ulcer and heartburn sufferer here, this is what helps me: -Wheat toast with almond butter and smashed banana -Apple (they fix everything) -heating pad -ginger tea (or anything hot really) -kombucha (not sure if that's preg safe) -dairy flares it up but im not sure if this is an everyone issue. Good luck girl 💜💜
