You can program it to take clip higher than 3 minutes to avoid too many clips. I use this camera with a battery plugged with the USB. I tried it the other day connecting it directly to the car's usb and it worked also. I'll be taking this camera in my next vacation for recording travel time.

A question for someone in the know. Just bout a dash cam that is powered through cigarette style plug only to realize after the fact that my new 2024 GMC pick up does not have a cigarette lighter style power plug. Ok my fault but what do I do now? Please. Jon

It’s a 2024, you just need usb plug, there’s no way your truck doesn’t have a usb port

The cigarette port is for vehicles that don’t have usb ports.
