This is an amazing overview. Thanks for your efforts. This is a very nice package and amazing dash cam but the impression I get from others' reviews is that it seems like the app has issues. Does anyone else get this? Can the dash cam run "stand alone" without the app? And last question is can the dash cam run only 2 channels Front and Rear...no cabin?

I didn't have any issues with the app, but you can control everything from the unit, except for downloading the footage. You'd need to remove it or eject a USB card. If you only need 2 channels, dashcam, don't spend on 3 channels, watch my other 2 channel systems reviews.

You can use any video editing program on your computer.

Yes, because the front unit has to share the image sensor for 2 cameras. You can boost the resolution to 4k if you use the front camera only. But the quality of footage is pretty good anyway.
