Just so everyone knows - Ford once again blew their brains out. Ford pulled the plug and no longer partners with Factory Five. That info is straight from Factory Five. So when I build my 818C it will have the Subaru Turbo motor. I didn't think Ford would be so ignorant to pull their motors out of the 818C project.

The BRZ is exactly what it should be. A car built completely for fun, lap times be damned. If you are the kind of person who has to be the fastest at the track, the BRZ isn't for you, and unapologetically so. If you wan't to have a car that you can comfortably drive at 10/10ths and still feel confident and in control, even if you wern't blessed with the last name Andretti, Schumacher, Tsuchiya or Fujiwara, and giggle and grin like a madman while doing it, the BRZ might just be for you.

@@notafk22 Some people want fun. And if you think a brz isn't fun, you've never drifted one in a perpetual circle around a round about. You can't do that in a Porsche gt2 RS because not only do you (nor I) dont have the skills, but because you would need to be doing 70 miles per hour in the Porsche but you can do it at 20-25 in the brz. The brz is fun because it's slow. _its not supposed to be fast._ Some people need to represent their penis with their car. They go buy Ferraris or 600hp mustangs. The brz is for people whos penis and car have nothing to do with one another.

I like this little car the only issue I hear is that the Pedal assembly is horrible. Matt Farah test drove one of these and kept complaining about the pedal assembly and the breaks

Watch the video again. The one he drove had an aftermarket pedal box in it. It didn't use the Factory Five/Subaru setup.

Kit cars looked like shit when they came out. In the 80s and 90s they started to look better but still had that dull, cheap plastic look that was wavy and just never quite "right". Additionally, the need for a specific donor vehicle really limited what you could build depending on what you could get, and they never compared to real sports cars. I personally hate the concept of a replica car unless it's something old and well out of production (like the cobra). Now, we can get a rolling chasis, body panels and engine. All you're doing is the assembly. Great business for third parties willing to assemble and retail them. Can't wait to see what the future has in store.

The first kit car I took seriously was the GTM Libra. Similar concept but based on a BL Metro. But it worked.

You will need transmision for RWD car, if you are putting lot of power out of the engine with turbos you will need stronger transmision like in the 350z it could handle around 500hp with no problems.
