I am absolutely grateful for your continued testing and also to a Mr. Rod Julian, for all his hard and continued work, he has done to improve the safety of communication workers across the industry here in Washington state with the major improvement to WAC_32 AKA The Little Red Book!

We all know this in the industry We know that we have a WLL and it's been advertised and you're not going to get away from weight versus force no matter what you do I don't care what kind of graphs you come up with what kind of chart you come up with what kind of diagnostics you come up with You have a serious issue with the man that weighs upwards of 280 lb or more anything below that you are safe but you are coming into Red factors when you are 280 lb above that doesn't matter of fact the harness itself has to be redesigned for anyone over what 250 lb is that correct And then you have the PFAS and then you have oh my goodness This is nuts I started in 1990 doing this didn't wear any of this gear We never had a fatality and I was stacking towers anywhere from 300 to 1,000 ft in the air The approach of you people is appreciated but when safety gets in the way of doing work it's a hindrance

As a 26 year old dude only doing this type of work for 4 years and quickly became a top hand. I can see how its a hindrance for certain projects. But sadly for the newer generation coming into the industry they wont climb towers without em. And honestly I can see where they come from. Ive seen the single piece of rope you dudes would use to position off to and was amazed. Dont even get me started on all the old heads telling me about the good ole times using fisks to descend towers. Also had a dude that was like 300 pounds at the age of 50 and still climbing towers saying that hell be good if he fell and wasnt too sure about that one.
