Gutted you weren't able to compete; I saw your team wasn't too far ahead of mine on start time but hadn't realised being busy getting ready you weren't competing. The course was pretty big for a novice but rode so well and my team came 9th so I am so pleased. Hopefully next year you can compete x

Do the horses really respond to being praised after each jump? If yes, what difference does it make?

He is a young horse, and baby's need there confidence building and if though out training you praise them for doing what you want they come to understand when they are doing well particularly if you normally say certain phrase
