As a public librarian, LOVE that you both utilize your public library and talk about it in the vlogs. If you ever do find yourself drawn towards fiction about Native Americans, Sherman Alexie is an excellent author to check out. The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian is a great one to start with, or any of his short stories! Keep up the great work :)

I used to live near you several years ago and I feel I learned quite a bit from living right by the Pima. I've also been watching Rise and I suggest all Americans learn about the oppression of native people. Being informed is important especially when the school system in America sugar coats what really went on hundreds of years ago and is still going on.

Two great books regarding Native American history are Margaret Ellen's, Brethren by Nature and Elliott West's, The Last Indian War: The Nez Perce Story. They both give pretty detailed information regarding Native/U.S. history with treaties, battles, key players etc. with historical arguments.

It was pretty difficult at first, but with time it has become much easier! We find having auto-pay is a great tool so you never fall behind on payments. Also, something that seems so basic like making sure your bills are paid first before spending money on stuff you don't need was a lesson we had to learn :)
