why do you not like the semi P-ports for road driving? is it a lack of low end torque? I've been wondering about using some kind of port valving to keep P-ports closed at low rpm and maximize air/fuel charge velocity to maintain better low end power.

Is it possible to use stock intake and exhaust ports with a Semi PP or do you have to have a minimum of a Medium Streetport and D Port to run a Semi PP setup? I ask because I don't want a ton of power but around 400-450hp with the added benefit of apex seal cooling sounds really nice lol

Hi, I have a SA22C and I'm looking at porting and turboing it. Originally I was thinking bridgeport, but how would a semi p port compare. The cars going to be mainly used for daily driving with some drag and track driving on the side. I don't mind driving at higher rpms on road so I'm not really worried about that. What would you recommend?

Do you have any experience with separate/staged throttling for the peripheral port? My thought is that it might keep overlap lower and air velocities up at lower RPM, and then open as the engine needs more - like the valved aux port on a 6 port Renessis or like variable valve timing and lift on a V8.

Yea. I know a few people who have done it. Seems like a lot of work to me.

So it's probably better to build and port for the core rev range you want than aim for a longer torque peak?

@@lignesdefuite yep. I've seen a lot of people play with complicated intakes for years only to get small gains. Still fun projects if thats what your into.

Look at the 26b in the 787b variable intake runner length! So cool probably very difficult to tune and build tho.

As the factory housings had some of the casting fearure for Semi PP. What factory car models had factory Semi PP ?

Nothing factory. It was always a water passage
