Kevin handy with electricity... Get him to wire up a heated passenger seat for them first fifteen miles on the trail.. Just... Tell him it would make ya a bit hotter!! But then the grain would not get hauled on time!!

Watching you clean the bin out takes me back to my childhood and teenage. After school, we used to get hired to shovel grain bins. We mostly got paid in beer. It was awesome! Best times of my life. I’ll never forget the feeling of your first beer as it pushed all the dust and dirt down your throat as you were dying and could not breathe in the bin! The best beer I ever had was the first one every time cleaning bins! That was back before these fancy augurs and grain vacs! You literally had to keep the auger fed or you got in shit!

Always love watching your videos. Very informative and interesting. Was wondering do you have any trouble with extreme temperature causing problems with getting the grain out of the bins?

The grain in the center of the bins are much warmer than against the wall in cold outside weather. When it's March/April/May grain in the center warms up slower than against the bin walls If you ran a fan to cool the grain in late fall early winter grain could possibly cool it off to the outside temps.. When grain temp is say 25F in the bin it does not become a block of ice it's just cold and augers OK.. If a gas powered auger motor is used (electric here) you may need a winter kit on the motor gets some warm air from the muffler area to the air intake to keep it from icing up carbs/EFI! The only problem hauling grain when cold are road conditions if packed snow covered roads slippery or salted hard on trailers need to wash more often and getting the gear started PLUG IN TRUCK ETC... And dress for the cold weather when loading the truck!
