I’m truly happy for these guys to be able to spend so much money on an already expensive truck. I get that they show them. I just don’t understand how they make a living after they have that much money invested in the truck. I quit trucking in 1987 because I was running more than 5K miles a week and was broke all the time. I just couldn’t keep my head above water. If they can do it then more power to them. I’d just love to know what kind of freight pays that well, because I never could find it

Amen on that. I’ve been at this mess since 1985 and it just never gets any better don’t seem like. Some of these fellas buying these trucks and all the extras and talking bout how bad things are. Don’t look like they’re on the struggle bus to me but I’m proud for um if they can do it.

Say what was the reason for stretching the frame? I was told bridge laws,weight etc or too look cool. ? What makes that nice is that sloped cab! I remember going to hunting camp on I 80 eastbound Shippenville PA back in the 80s. Saw cabover freightliners. Transtar 2s. Peterbuilt cabovers. Kenworth cabovers.

Sorry, I see the windshield and see the huge replacement cost vs the 389 two piece. I've now seen the interior from the factory and it's absolutely a let down. Lower cost to the manufacturer higher cost to the owner in repairs, the 990 is ugly and the 589 is ugly. Ever since emissions we've been put lip stick on pigs and now the pigs are uglier. If I'm buying a new truck today, I'm going 567 most likely.
