Great seminar and cool slides! But as far as climbing Mt Shasta in the summer goes, the Clear Creek route, which is on the south side, is the "dog route" (easiest way) up Mt Shasta and is an easy and scenic walk up all summer long. I've done it more than a dozen times and without touching snow; which I liked. Also lots of good bivouac sites and a spring. It's always a blast to show up to the summit in my trail runners and meet all of the gear-laden climbers who came up Avalanche Gulch. With a look of shock on their face they without fail always ask me "How did you get up here?" Mt Shasta is also the final summit on The Siskiyou Peaks Trail, a 480-mile long trail to the highest point in 7 wilderness areas. Keep up the good work and see you out there!
