The propulsive force is mainly by pulling arm. However, the pull in TI is rather consequential as it is driven by body rotation initiated by coordination of hip kicking and recovery-arm insertion. The swimmer is aware of the pulling arm only in setting up proper catch. Efficient kinetic chain. Pretty cool.

I'm doing what is shown here but my lower body does not float, the body is not horizontal without kicking, and my legs sink... :(

Thank you so much Shinji Sir for these lessons. The traditional freestyle left me tired and out of breath more so because I don't have very strong lungs. Thanks to TI, I can swim effortlessly without feeling tired.

I like your graceful freestyle. How many inches below the surface is your skate hand position when you perform your stroke? It looks like about 8-12 inches below the surface of the water.
