Informative indeed! The listeners cannot be influenced by any other factor and manners than of the professor speaking . Can the articulation, pronunciation, accent, stress, intonation etc. of this professor be imitated by her own students? Can anybody be influenced by this accent be confident of getting through the listening and speech exercises in TOEFL, IELTS etc.? How much of grade will this professor allow for her own students, if she were to test them on speaking and listening? It’s high time the NTA modified the components of its instrument to test its testees on teaching English.
