🏡 Painting The Houses From My Fave Childhood Cartoons!! ✨📺

A fun and nostalgic look back at the cartoons and TV shows of the 90's and 2000's as I redraw the houses and buildings from them in my style. I love painting houses and this was such a great way to get creative, make art and revisit shows like Dexter's Lab, Kim Possible and Courage the Cowardly Dog to name a few. I love the Fosters house! Seems like we were both Cartoon Network kids! My sister watched a Series of Unfortunate Events recently, that house looked really cool and would probably make a good painting.

This is the greatest thing ever, Minnie! You hit the nostalgia button so hard on this and most of these were my younger sister's RELIGIOUSLY watched childhood cartoons! Most of these I remember when they first aired on tv here in America (Tells you how old I am! LOL!) and every one that you mentioned had an iconic house! Since you asked for suggestions on more cartoons that had pretty cute houses, here are some of my fave childhood cartoons with cool houses as well as a few tv show sitcoms! 1: SailorMoon (American edited tv version). Since she lived in a Japanese styled home with a modern twist, you'll love this! 2: Johnny Bravo. Minnie, I think you'll have TOO much fun drawing Johnny's mother's house! LOL! 3: The Rugrats. There house was so unique, that I can't really put it in a category! But, Tommy Pickle's house is what you want to see. In fact, check out ALL the baby's houses! They lived in some pretty cool designed homes! 4: Batman Beyond (Or, in your country "Batman Of The Future"). I won't spoil you. You'll freak when you see the style of the cartoon and the futuristic buildings! 5: Batman: The Animated Series. Bruce Wayne's mansion. Period. 6: Hamtaro. Cutest little house that his owner lived in! Plus, you might have fun drawing the inside of Hamtaro's and friend's treehouse! 7: The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (1993). The Power Ranger's headquarters. Nuff'said. LOL! 8: Family Matters. The iconic tv show with Steve Urkel! They tore down the house about 2 years ago in real life, which is heartbreaking, but you can still look up pictures of the house! 9: Full House. Another awesome american sitcom with and awesome house set in San Francisco! You'll enjoy that one! Very structural! BONUS: BeetleJuice (The Cartoon, not the movie. Course, you could throw the movie house in there, too!). In the cartoon, Beetlejuice lived in what he called "The Roadhouse". Minnie, if I haven't blown your mind already, look at BeetleJuice's House! You can look at his bestfriend, Lydia's, house as well in the cartoon! Very rich and clean structured! I could give you more, Minnie-bear, but I think I've blown your mind already! LOL! I love what you do, young lady! Keep on inspiring, ok?-Whit♥

The cartoons she grew up with sound like what my kids watched. What a fun idea. Power puff girls, The Wild Thornberrys (more of a motorhome), Rugrats. If you want to see someone making a Beetlegeuse house in miniature from the movie I think, you can check out Bentley House Minis. She already did an Adams Family from both the TV show and the movies, took her 11 years

The three main houses in a row from Spongebob would be cool, the Adventure Time house would also look very interesting, and the Duncan house from Good Luck Charlie was one I always loved too. It's my childrens' childhood all over again! I totally agree that having perfectly straight lines takes something away from the final quality of a watercolour. I've not been painting lomg, but I have noticed that perfect lines make things look very unrealistic. Love your work.

Oh I do love when you do houses. They all turned out so well! This will date me quite a bit, also my tv watching was super limited until I was in high school then I was too busy. When I did get to watch at friends and cousins houses, Disney's Robin Hood, Kiki's Delivery Service (great houses in that of course), X-Men, Gargoyles, the Smurfs. That's what I remember most.

I am always amazed at the moods even the ugliest house in the neighborhood takes on when it is decorated in some way. Christmas lights or Christmas trees in the window etc. Even abandoned houses reflect emotions of some kind. You are really good at drawing houses, and these current cartoon ones are awesome!

I always love your house illustrations. If you decided to make some more house mini books, I would want to buy them. I have the first set hung in a shadow box in my dining room. I particularly like the one with round windows. The shapes and colors are really interesting.

Oh I love this video idea! And I immediatly had to think of "the bear in the big blue house" even tho that is not a cartoon :D Maybe Disney would be a nice option too?
