You can just lower the resolution. Without doing true stretch. I have eye sight problems, and when I use 5-4 and lower resolution, it helps me see better.

Riot hasn't even made a normal 4:3 and 5:4 interface in 4 years, and people are already asking for true stretched. And if we talk about the reason, it's definitely the appearance of skins and the desire not to be associated with CS

yeah it's to market skins but they have the 3rd party tools to spectate anyway. they really should just let people switch their res and play in the most comfortable ways possible, it'd probably give higher quality matches

pretty sure when spectating pro matches, it’s in 1920x1080, but pro matches also like to show the replay from the players perspective, so if the player is playing at a resolution like 1280x960 it kinda looks meh

Most of the CSGO professionals used to play on true stretch which led to majority of the normal players to use it too. So I don't think it's a "stretch" to say that a good percentage of valo players want stretch res too
