I like Rand as well as his father. No politician will save us but if we find the ones with good sense, it will be easier for us to do our job of forcing them to do some good in government. Instead of banging our heads against a wall thats built out of off based extremist right and left wingers.

"A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years." Alexander Tyler, Scottish history professor 1787

Both Mr. Paul and his father have created a youth movement of dyed hair, piercings and tweets that is constitutionally smart and minutemen and women of our basic freedoms. And for that there must be accolades given to these men who changed the "traditional" Republican discussion to one that an entire new generation of amazing kids who will lead us when we are old and grey. The future indeed looks filled with Hope when I hear words like these.

The trouble is that many small businesses file as individuals. Really, as long as there's an income tax, there should be a corporate tax at the same rate. This assumes a flat rate, of course, which we don't have.

What is the use of a flat 17% Fed Tax,,, when the States, Cities. Counties, School districts, can each add 3%, 5%, 10% or ANY %%% with NO LIMIT,,, plus Real Estate tax, plus sales tax.. plus privilege tax, plus per capitia tax....goes on and on,,, with no limit. Too many taxing authorities... Each having NO limit,,,, and NO overall maximum % limit per person..

Let's look at immigration and welfare like college courses. Let's assume open borders and open enrollment as the standard. There are two classes open. One is a rigorous yet extremely useful course on systems analysis which emphasizes learning to diagnose problems and fix them. Some fail. The other is an "appreciating contemp music" class. It's easy and enjoyable. All pass. Who registers for which course? Who immigrates to which country? Difficulty with opportunity attracts hard workers.

I believe that President Bush 43's Israel support speech said correctly by either strategy wise or the cherishing attitude to our ally Israel. He showed to ones who try hard to get rid of Israel that we America is strongly stand by our ally Israel, that would absolutely truncate their invators' morals and highten our ally Israel's moral at the same time. It shows the friendship and support as well as to show the world the benefits of being America's friends, allies or who strongly and firmly stand by for America's legacies. President Reagan, President Bush 41 and President Bush 43 are all great patriotic and very experienced top leveled Governing leaderships of tremendous experiences. I also agree with the Sen Paul's pro-life suggestions. Because the human lives are precious and need to be cherished and protected. Also it often subjects the cruelties and very inhuman. Moreover, those unborn future babies will absolutely become America's most valuable assets of America's most trusted populations who will bravely protect and defend America and kill enemies, if we are invated. If we just imagine how lovely those babies as soon as coming to the world, we may will be very regret to kill them. It's so sad. Because it doesn't matter either African Americans' babies, White Americans' babies, Spanish Speakers' babies, Asians' babies, or others' babies, they are all very cute. How can we imagine that we would take away their right to choose to live in such amazing country -America instead of being killed under their own parents' permissions. People can think wrong and regret later, because we are humans. This's why our Gov't need to educate people to cherish their own future generations as well as the best policies to protect America's future valuable generations.

Commentary of 27 January 2014 J.R. Nyquist Continuing our analysis from last week, we now must look at the U.S. domestic situation. The best overview, which largely remains current, is that offered by James Burnham in The Suicide of the West, p. 249: During the current century the liberal ideology has gradually increased over the formation of public opinion within the United States, Britain, Italy and to a greater or less degree [in] nearly all the advanced Western nations; and at the same time liberals, or persons accepting the liberal ideas relating to the decisive issues of war and the social order, have come to occupy more and more of the key positions of government and social power. This has meant a basic shift in the governing 'mix' of Western civilization: the foxes have been getting rid of the lions; the lions, as one of them put it a few years ago, have been fading away.... Burnham is here referring to Vilfredo Pareto's sociological theory in which the balance between lions and foxes within the elite of society has been upset, with the foxes now taking complete control. This signals the society's decadence and decline. According to Burnham, liberalism is not only an ideology of decadence. It is the ideology of Western suicide.

I generally agree with Paul on marriage both on personal beliefs and practical approach. I actually believe that marriage shouldn't even be a government policy issue at all. When I hear conservatives talk about why government (federal in particular) has a duty to "preserve marriage", they sound no different than any of Paul Krugman's daily nonsense. Abortion however is different. Abortion does merit government involvement cause it's an individual's right to live being infringed upon.

I support tax reform, but my biggest problem with the economic and fiscal policy of the Republican Party is that it doesn't work. There is absolutely no evidence that supply side economics works. There is actually evidence to the contrary. There is no evidence that tax cuts grows the economy or increases consumer spending. The Republicans are correct that the national debt must be dealt with and I even support the idea of ratifying a constitutional amendment to balance the budget, so the deficit cannot continue to grow. The Federal Government must live within it's means. However Republicans are bigger spenders than Democrats, they simply spend on different things. I believe there are a few major points that must be followed in regards to fiscal policy: 1. The government should not spend money it doesn't have. 2. An amendment to the Constitution should be ratified that requires a balanced federal budget, which will stimulate the economy and shrinks the deficit. 3. Raise taxes for all income brackets, as well as simplifying and streamlining the tax code. 4. Allocate Federal spending away from Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, which have overwhelmed and strangulated the Federal budget, now comprising over 60% of the Federal Budget. 5. Significant reforms to Social Security should be made. 6. Repeal the Affordable Care Act and reform national Health Care to be affordable and sustainable. 7. Cut federal spending on unpractical and/or unnecessary defense, whilst raising defense spending. 8. Put the the Pentagon under audit and regulate spending. 9. Audit the Federal Reserve and give the Congress greater control over federal monetary policy.

Those issues are not 'liberal,' thinking the government is the only one who can do it is. True liberals (believe in individual liberty), even those who go so far as volunteerism, support better education and protecting the environment; they just don't support the doing it at the point of a gun.
