I am Swedish. I grew up and still live in a social democracy. This means, I did not pay for my schooling and the government gave me a salary to go to college as an incentive to study. Think about that! The college paid me to study (Its not a scholarship! everyone got it, thats one of the reasons we have one the highest literacy rates in the world). I also got one year paid maternity leave. In Sweden we are able to split the year with our spouse so both parents can nurture and spend 6 months each of quality time with their children if they wish. I also always slept well at night knowing that all the people dear to me, including myself, have free world class healthcare, which is definitely a human right! In my country we never worry about getting sick, because our government (which was majority female by the way, when I was growing up!) believes ALL human life is sacred, therefor not only is it free, but it ranks #2 best in the world! (News & World Report ranked Sweden second in its list of countries with the most well-developed public healthcare systems, while the United States was placed 19th!) A couple of things however, our taxes are high. I pay approximately 40% in taxes, but I give it with pleasure since I know myself and my family will be taken care of for life in terms of health, and education, among MANY other things! Whats crazy is that when I was living in the United States my taxes were almost the same, but you get absolutely nothing for it, except public schools where mass-shootings are happening unfortunately far too often! Thats why I went back to Europe after I clearly saw that the system is rigged to ultra wealthy people. There is also much more corruption in the United States. I love the US, and it breaks my heart to see single mothers having to work several jobs just to be able to live paycheck to paycheck, while the very rich just keep getting richer. Lastly, there has been an unfortunate rise in crime in Sweden due to gang criminality. However the murder rate is still 6x higher in the United States (Sweden 1.08 per 100k people, US 6.81 per 100k people: source: Microtends). Does this mean you should move to Sweden? Not necessarily, but something needs to be done to the crumbling empire! Sending you Love and Light! Take care of yourself whoever is reading this! ❤

@@swamp-yankee NO, many of those chemicals and pesticides last in the ground for decades. I worked for agrachemical companies and know how awful the products used in farming in the USA damage and poison the soil for years. It does not "just come back'.
