I had to sign something similar to this for a job installing stair handrails for not using the techniques they taught me.. The thing is they didn't teach me anything, and nothing they did was not common practice for decades, in most cases centuries, before their their company even existed.

I Germany 99 % of those clauses would be void for being unethical. Isn't there a "bigger" law in the US that would break those clauses too? That sounds horribly unfair and unjustified.
@headishome84528 ай бұрын
This is just one of the reasons why ppl shouldn't come to USA. Our laws can't keep up with the greed of corporations. They pay ppl to lobby for things like this......

I don't agrea with this because what happens if a worker is treated different than another worker are if different pr problems happens to a person cursed out many other things so that wouldn't be fair to that person have to stay in that kind of environment and can't go to a different place to work the same kind of job😢
@turkizno8 ай бұрын
exactly, this is locking you in place to the shitty job. it only benefits companies, because they KNOW they have a toxic work environment so the worker is enslaved.

To those people who are against regulation. Please realize that corporations do not govern themselves, and if left to themselves do harm workers and our country. The free market does not govern them either. In this example, consumers don't know which companies have these harmful policies.

Problem solved -- McDonald’s line employees do not sign noncompete agreements. Until three years ago, McDonald’s barred its franchise owners from hiring away staff from other local McDonald’s. In the years since 2017, McDonalds and over 150 national chains have ended the practice.

We need to ban non-competes, NDAs, and right-to-work agreements, which are bad for former employees looking for work, especially if they are fired without just cause by creating an excuse, such as for petty things not to mention better benefits and better working conditions. It's sad that workers don't have rights; that's why there should be unions.

Noncompete clauses are simply a modern attempt at indentured servitude. They like the company store.
