I believe this is because of the bullet hell part at the last phase, some people think Dr Kahl is the hardest boss, and others think he was just like any other boss, I think it really depends on your past gaming experience. If you played games that had a lot of bullet hell patterns in them (Touhou, Death Must Die, even Undertale) you would find this boss not that difficult, I already have a bit of experience with bullet hell patterns so I died only like couple of times

Yeah he is easy, however, on Master Quest, he is absolute hell on earth. It took me a few days to beat him, because I could never decide with charm to use (coffee, heart, or whetstone). Second phase ALWAYS took all my health, or whatever I had left anyways. And the minions have more health too!

The first time I did Dr Kahls Robot, it felt like the hardest thing I’d ever done. I recently started a new save file after the DLC released so I could derust on the game and try out the new stuff on the base game bosses. I got to Junkyard Jive and did it first try with parry ring. It seems like such an intimidating fight at first but then it’s really easy after the first time you beat it.

It's really not as hard as it looks. Sure, it takes a bit of practice, and you will have to reset a couple of times, but it's really not as hard as people make it out to be. I'd say it's high B-tier on difficulty level, and there's another plane boss (Wally Warbles, A.K.A, the hardest boss in the game on Expert) that makes Dr. Kahl look like Goopy le Grandé.

The reason Dr. Kahl is such a pain is because of how much is going on in the fight, most notably in the first phase. After you get past that phase, the fight becomes pretty normal difficulty-wise.

I think it depends on the person. Some people will find certain fights more difficult than others, for instance I thought Cagney, Wally, and Cala were easy, while finding Beppi, Goopy (yes, I suck at Goopy) and Kahl hard. My friend is the opposite, Kahl and the others are easy for him but Cala and Wally are his hardest bosses to fight. I feel like it just differs for everyone. You might find someone hard to beat that I find easy and vice versa. However, one thing I think almost everyone can agree on is the Mr. Chimes FUCKING SUCKS. Hate that monkey.

its still the hardest fight i've come across (got 4 bosses left) but this made it 100% easier for me. Idk if boss was buffed health wise but laser is a 2 cycle for me tho. Overall good guide got to 3rd phase with 3health consistently like 70% of the time for my attempts after this video so thank you, beat the boss with an A- and 2 stars, i got hit twice in the second phase cause i just wanted to end it and i finished the fight in 1:37. Dr Kahl really is the easiest flying boss IMO. There’s nothing going on in his last phase except his chaos emeralds. Other flying bosses have tons of minions shooting you with projectiles and hazards around the edges of the screen. With Dr. Kahl you only have to pay attention to what’s in front of you.

Another tip the Heart ring is an amazing! Charm for this boss what it does is that for your first third and sixth parry you will gain 1 hp and on the first phase its very easy to get parry’s, going into this boss with 6 hp helped a lot!

So I JUST beat him for the first time without looking up any guide, and I spent like 5 fucking hours on this guy. A full afternoon dealing with this purple bearded fuck, and yeah, he's easy as shit. Learning his patterns, however, is an exercise in pure torture. Once I found the goldielocks zone for his final phase, that helped a ton. Fuck the foreground though, why tf is that still in the game?

The boss becomes easy once you know what's gonna happen. On my first few attempts, I didn't even realize that the boss had three specific targets you need to strike. Then when the head detached, I wasn't prepared for that either. The third phase is the most predictable though so that only took a few attempts to get used to.

I killed the robot. It took 500 freaking attempts, then after beating it after beating the game it only took me 10 attempts that’s weird.

The addition of pink bullets to his third phase was transformative. It relieves a lot of pressure when you can semi-regularly carve through his bullets and get out of the corner he might've been backing you into.

Yeah, when I first tried dr Kahl, It took me about 30 minutes to beat, then I replayed it, and beat it on my first try.

Saving the super for the second phase really made all the difference, ended up winning with 2 hp. After hours of wasting the super on his heart.

I remembered playing against Dr Kahl with a friend. Honestly, we considered the first part as the hardest one, and the second one was kinda difficult because we did not do the thing on the video. The last part was actually quite easy for us. The boss that took us an eternity to beat was the dragon.

Dr kahl is a hard boss... The first time you fight it, but like other bosses, his attacks can be easily understood and countered. So no, overall it's a mid boss (difficulty wise)

I can’t do it that fast but definitely could no damage him, even on expert mode.
