⭐ TRAIL DESCRIPTION ⭐
A video about one of the most-widely recommended trails in the Anaga Rural Park - the Bosque Encantado or Magic Forest Path . This is a special trail but not because it would be somehow superior to the most scenic of Anaga's trails like the TF-11, TF-8 or TF-6. This special bioreserve is home to some of the most unique and protected species of flora and fauna on the island, making it a must-visit for nature enthusiasts, biologists, and botanists.
With only 45 people allowed to take this trail every day, a special free permit is required that you need to book at least 2-3 weeks in advance. But trust us, it's worth the effort. As you hike through the lush laurisilva forest, you'll be surrounded by beautiful vistas and rare wildlife, including the laurel pigeon and Bolle's pigeon.

This circular trail is approximately 7.6 kilometers long, with a total vertical ascent of 332 meters. But don't worry, the ascents and descents are well mixed and spread evenly over the entire trail distance, making it a relatively easy and pleasant hike for families with children.
Along the way, you'll pass by Roque Anambro, a former volcano whose cooled magma core remains to this day. And at the lookout 'Mirador Cabezo del Tejo', you may even get to hand-feed palm finches (Fringilla Coelebs Palmae).
If you're looking for a very pleasant or child-friendly hike in Tenerife, the Sendero de El Pijaral trail is one of your best options.
