I was waiting for your movie from the new Ötztal. I was wondering why it took you so long. Now I understand. It must have taken a lot of effort to craft it. The story, the music, the shots, the mighty river... everything combined makes a true masterpiece. Thanks a lot for this movie, it made my day!

It's not often you get to pioneer a new section of whitewater on a familiar river. It must have been an incredible feeling. Out with the old; in with the new. I kayaked the Oetz in the early nineties and remember it as one of the best rivers I've ever had the privilege to run. I love the back story to this edit, the aerial shots showing just what a 100-year flood does to a valley, and the nostalgic finale. Thoroughly entertaining.

Good god! It even damaged the footbridge! It's really good to see all of you discovering new lines and working on new moves. What is crazy to me is that the water moved some pretty sizeable boulders. Gotta say, the colour of the water looks more like the Zam than the Oetz. Great edit, and really fine philosophy of the river... any river which a person might call "home" really. You are forced to make friends with it all over again, and in a whole different way. Thanks for sharing, Bren. It's shocking to see how much water went through there, and how much it has changed, but at the end of the day, it's still the Oetz. Just battered about a bit, just as we all are as we age.

Thanks for watching mate! Agreed, crazy it reached the bridge and managed to move those huge boulders around at champions killer

And it's not only about beautiful sceneries, awesome tricks, great shots and great music choices and awesome editing, but also about the atmosphere and good vibes in your videos. They convey the feeling that you always have fun doing what you do. For me that's the most important thing. Thank you for your videos. Keep it up! 🙏

I've seen a few floods here in CO and one in MN that have violently changed the river and landscape. The earliest that I remember, and one that I visited while the town was still covered in silt, was the Lawn Lake flood. Miraculously, this lake damn failed during the day and while three people did die, it was seen and radioed in such that there was time for an evacuation. The other large one was in 2013 when Lyons flooded. That was the first one that changed two rivers that I had paddled. I also helped work a 500yr flood event in Minnesota in 2007. I was in the rising water, evacuating people as the water was still coming up. Whole houses were moved off their foundation and 6 people died. I understand the emotions you are going through. The remodeling force of mother nature is profound.

It’s really interesting to see how a climatic event can change so much of what you know. As an MTBer, pretty much the most a trail will change is with a fallen tree or a crumbling edge - not a wholesale change of the very fabric of the line! I found this really interesting. Looked so sick you being back in that (very different) valley! Awesome music choices too, as always… 👊😎❤️

Your editing skill just keeps improving, Bren! I really like the top view drone shots added! Amazing how much some of those rapids have changed. It's been some time since I was at the Oetz, but that looks like a lot of water coming through there during the flood. I can't help but wonder how many "100 year floods" we will experience in our lifetime.
