Senders EP05 | Hiking to kayaking paradise in California!

What an incredible piece of nature! It feels like the whole river has been polished! It was a childhood dream for me to kayak down this river and it felt incredible to finally drop in there with some of my best mates and some up and coming shredders! Great times out there!

Wow. Incredible edit Bren. Not. A. Single. Kayak. POV. Shot!! That is an amazing achievement. You are becoming a film-maker instead of just a great kayaker with a camera on his helmet. In my opinion, that is a huge step in your evolution. You managed to capture the magic of not just high-level kayaking, but the majesty of the Sierra, my favorite mountain range. Your use of different river side camera perspectives and drone footage is outstanding. I can't imagine the work that went into getting all those shots. You are also honing your skills as a story teller. I can't encourage you enough to include even more of the stories of the people you are with and the places you visit. We need to tell the stories of these places so that more people learn to appreciate them and want to protect our wild lands and rivers. Most people will never see these places - except through the lenses of adventurers like you. The story of the fight to preserve these places goes back to people like John Muir and Theodore Roosevelt - all the way through to the efforts of environmentalists who fought against the damming of these rivers and creeks. I could go on about this stuff for a long time... Well done. Keep up the great work.

Nice to see some footage from in there, it doesn't seem to show up much these days. Slightly uncomfortable realisation that some of your crew probably hadn't been born when we paddled it..... but it's great to see folks having fun down one of the best creeks anywhere. Modern skip boats make it look quite a bit less stressful than the gear we had

😮 Yikes! Parts of that scared the poo out of me and I wasn’t even there! That’s just awesome to watch. By the way Bren, it’s not real. It’s all a holographic projection. Nothing like that could ever be real. It’s amazing that technology has advanced to the point where they can make you think it is, right down to the burnt hotdog on a stick. If the hotdog wasn’t burnt, we’d all know that it was a fake. Still, I enjoyed it immensely, and am grateful for the time you put in making these absolutely fabulous videos.
