Hi!! You can just write the return address on the box for domestic. Sometimes the post office might put their own sticker for you if they can’t understand the address 😅

thank you so much! this video was so helpful for me :) quick question - if the contents in the care package cost over $50, should I put the actual cost or just $50 since that is all the insurance will cover? Will it make a difference if the cost is higher? is it a security issue for the box if people know it has a high value? sorry if these are silly questions, this is my first time sending my bf a care package 😓

It's not silly at all! Personally, I would leave it at $50 unless you're sending something really expensive (i.e. jewelry). If it's really high value stuff then I would recommend getting a better insurance for the package. I have just left everything at

Hi! Is this process any different for shipping to someone on a deployment? For example my husband will be on a ship ( navy ) and he’ll literally be in the ocean lmao! Is this considered international?

Hello! c: It should be the same. Just make sure to use FPO instead of APO/DPO so they know it's for the Navy. Also replace Unit # and Box # with Ship # and Hull #

@@monikauong3522 Hi! There is no ship # :( I must have made a mistake. There's only ship name and hull # so it should look something like... RecieverName ShipName (HULL #), FPO AE/AP/AA Zipcode. The hull # should look like a code, kind of like CGB-80. I haven't sent mail to the navy only army and airforce, but this is what I found online! Hope it helps ~ 😁

yes, as long as you are sending to a military address you get charged as if you were sending it domestically (way cheaper).

Hello!! Some things I’ve done are make a photo collage and write a cute letter, order a custom blanket or some socks with something personal on it (like a pet), buy a small easel at dollar tree and finger paint/brush paint, etc.. I always love going creative cus it shows how much thought got put into it. Good luck !

What if they don’t have a box number?

If their location doesn’t have a specified mailing room for them, then you have three options 1. Have the mail sent to one of their friends with a home mailing address 2. Have them get a P.O. Box off post then send it there 3. have it sent to the battalion building (they’ll need to ask for this mailing address)

Usually the address for option 3 looks like: Name (i.e. SPC JOHN DOE) Brigade (i.e. 68th Air Defense Artillery) Battalion, Battery Address City, State, Zip code

It’ll be First Middle Last Battalion UNIT ##### BOX ### APO or DPO or FPO AP or AE or AA - ZIP Code I asked my solider for a picture of their mail so I can get it right so no worries aha! Try asking them to send you that and it’ll help a tons
