as a German Biologist and Pythagorean - I follow memento mori every day. Everybody dies in his last 20 seconds- of which we can never know - when they start ticking fast away. When I leave my Room - I stop and remind myself - I may never come back. One day - it will happen. It may be my own fault of dreaming my life away and end in a stupid accident. It is not about the length of any Life. it is about the sudden End - and I may die unprepared. Memento Mori = be prepared and ready for the last 20 seconds....
