Today's Philosophers are useless Putin says, "Believe in me, support me & be rewarded or else!" And everyone agrees that Putin is pure evil, his supporters are scum But change the name Putin to God & repeat the very same words and now we get "Praise the Lord!" And not one modern philosopher can see this because well, they are brainwashed as well Just blind readers of ancient books written by old white men

Thanks for sharing this content of Seneca's thoughts on tranquility of mind. It's fascinating to dive into his reflections on battling vices and finding contentment. His words resonate deeply, reminding us to navigate life's complexities with introspection and moderation. Truly a timeless wisdom worth pondering.

as a German Biologist and Pythagorean ... in essence it is about - Mastery. When I know what I always can do, perform in which circumstances - and when NOT. When I have to surrender to a challenge. Even facing Death. Knowing - I did as much as I could do in my life so far. Then I have this constant unshakable Peace of Mind. The Stoics in Essence are about achieving every day the level of mastery - that I have the capacity to do. This ARETE sense of Life is totally lost today. We overstimulate with Adventures and drugs - to get the highest kick - not seeing - what a waste that is. Not even doing any business with any such Life wasters. That is wisdom and Mastery to me. The rarest person to meet - as they do their daily work. Yesterday - I met such a Lady - 96 years old and mentally top alert and fit. A pleasure !

1:15:20 yet here we are, 2000 years later and humanity shackled with the same follies. No doubt we've had gradual improvements in not being evil af.. But military technology has improved many multiples faster.. so we have more dangerous weapons in fewer hands.. The problem is just as bad.. But maybe 2000 years is a small measuring stick relative to posterity 🤷‍♂️ and we should keep up the fight for future generations just as if we could benifit from its fruits

Aristotle created a mathematical process called syllogistic reasoning, this process cleans through everything. We are complete in every fashion now, exactly like the letter A, or number 1, both are integers, complete total, and whole. As are we as the individuation of our whole universe, nothing is missing, this is where syllogistic reasoning works breaking through all our bullshit until we perceive this identity in our essence or Christ, spirit which is our essence. Our minds are created in mathematical logarithm, syllogism's cut through as mathematical poetry.

most if not many were transcribed by christian monks after the fall of the roman empire. this is true for most extant works today. without the monk scribes re-writing these scrolls multiple times they would have been lost. so i would say very few BCE works would ever be found hand written by their authors after so many years.

He says to do what you want But if a kid wants to eat poison or touch a snake, should he be free to do so? Isn't it the right thing to avoid doing what you want, in favour of what's better for you? I guess the point is changing what you want into what's better for you, so that you will do it without wavering?
