Anna shares a family recipe for Poulet Yassa - a Senegalese favorite! Poulet Yassa is a tasty and easy dish to prepare. The flavorful mix of onions, garlic and lemon in this dish will tantalize anyone's tastebuds. After trying this recipe with chicken - give it a go with fish. Enjoy!

This beautiful woman brought tears to my eyes with her genuineness of expression in explaining not only the dish, but the customs going along with it as well as the doll and comments about her dear mom and early learning. Much love to you, Anna, you touched my heart!

I really love how easy you make the cooking "Yassa Ginarr" as we normally call it. And i also love your presentation. I am a Gambian and I was brought up in Senegal. Gambia and Senegal are almost the same. We share the same culture. The only difference is our official languages. English for Gambia and French for Senegal. Love you aunty (Tata).

Nangadef! Love this dish! I used to live in Dakar, near Ouakam. The Casamance is beautiful! Merci! I personally don't use the oil, as it prevents the lemon from sticking as well to the chicken. I do add green olives to the entire process, including the marinade. Just a small suggestion.. at 3:15 ; never taste a raw chicken marinade?
