This song was recorded at the Aber YMCA on 2nd March 2013 in memory of 439 men and boys killed in the Universal Colliery disaster in October 1913. Graphics by Mal White a chorister with Aber Valley MVC.

This song as sad as it is as a former miner it is a great song and tribute to a great bunch of men and boys

I’m a former welsh miner we never spoke about this disaster we knew it could come to our pit one day we must never forget miners all over the country
