What a great video! It's funny that if someone were to search for grading skin tones, this video would come up alongside a bunch of other "tutorials" that are peddling their LUT. What I've learned from watching more videos than I should need on the topic, is that a lot of KZbinrs are salesmen, but real colorists are philosophers.

How about in Davinci Resolve?

it doesn't matter that much, you can do the same thing with resolve, what matters is what the way he did it, not even the correction he's done, by selecting the luminance range, then the tint, and the saturation, he was able to pull a key on a particular part of the image, blurred it otherwise it would feel grainy/weird while playing it, and finally added a mask, all of that is available in resolve, and to be honest not so complicated. You can look for all of the term he used, key, sat vs luminance, mask, etc and you'll find what you want/need for resolve.
