Swinging freely instead of tightening everything up. It's so much easier. And so much more effective. Thank you.

This isn’t just for senior golfers, I am not yet a the senior age, but have found this system recently and it is just as applicable to me in my 40s. It is like getting permission to revert to natural athleticism, and so far am seeing a lot of improvement with irons and wedges. Still struggling with tensing up on fairway woods and driver, but even those are better.

Thanks Ryan, you are absolutely right this isn’t just for seniors - great that you have recognised this and are benefitting 👍

Phillip - I'm 74 and am totally sold on the Easiest swing concept. How much I wish I had been introduced to this when I was 14. Back then I lacked the body strength to manipulate the clubhead and would have been a super candidate! I suppose better late than never!

Been looking for a way to adapt my swing since my right hip started aching over the last year (I'm a lefty). Came across Easiest Swing and gave it a try at the range. I can't speak highly enough of it - wish I'd discovered this channel years ago!

I found your channel about a month ago. But with our winter weather here in the U.K. I’ve only managed to play twice. Today was my best , driving was good , irons and wedge much better than my old swing . The book is arriving on 25th December. Can’t wait to take my new swing to Marrakesh for our winter golf break . Keep up the regular vids 👍

Hi Phil, I really like your effortless swing. When I do it at the practice range I can feel the club head and the moment of inertia at the top of the backswing, but as soon as I involuntarily tighten the grip, I accelerate and shorten the rise and hit the ball badly. I have also tried the release when putting and it works better. You have to really want to stop yourself from wanting to hit the ball.

An excellent weekly contribution Phil on the Simple Basics! I have started to really relaxing my wrists and forearms and let gravity and the club do all of the work! I'm going to be working on the reinstituting of lifting of my left heal in 2025 in order to get a fuller turn. I still refer to you and your brother Brian's books in my Kindle Fire for helpful information! Thanks for the help Phil! Happy Holidays!!!

You know what got me to seek you out? I was playing 18 with a friend and got to the 14th and I said I was a bit tired. When I swung the club I was relaxed and made a full turn. I hit the ball 265 and my friend remarked about my distance. It didn't click at the time but no tension with a relaxed swing is the way to go? Now with the easiestswing being able to lift my left foot allows for a fuller swing! I can't wait to get back out there to practice the easiest swing.

Great stuff - it is so wonderful to discover just how much more natural ability is in the tank than you knew. Keep up the good work…. (or should I say ease!!)
@ArtieMarkos-j4y14 күн бұрын
Brian - I found using the HIO I tend to bend my knees more which promotes a stiff left arm on the back & forward swing. By getting in a more upright posture I can make a more relaxed swing. Certainly easier to get the click than in a lower position. If this makes sense to you, should that be a point to make (upright stance) in a video while using the HIO?
@ArtieMarkos-j4y14 күн бұрын
Oops meant to say Phillip. Apologies
@Easiestswing14 күн бұрын
Generally we recommend a more upright stance anyway as it makes La Danse du Golf easier to execute and seems to allow for a more relaxed and balanced action. It makes sense to do the same with the HIO & SC

Philip, I have two comments to your excellent video. (1) I bought the Swing Impact via your website and yes, it is an excellent tool. HOWEVER (capitalized), the indicated speed marks are far from the measurement values as given by Swing Speed Radar or Trackman. I compared the three tools and show you the data in the sequel between Swing Impact and Trackman: 48 / 45; 56 / 47; 66 / 50; 78 / 56; 97 / 60 (I am not able to "click" with 110 mph). This shows that the higher the indicated Swing Impact speed is the less accurate it is. Nevertheless in conclusion, the Swing Impact is a great tool. (2) As long as you swing without ball, you do do it very slowly and easily. However, when using a ball you strongly speed up - and here the secret is hidden (at least for me). I would like to know what to do to increase from say 70 mph (which is about my pretty poor clubhead speed) to 90 mph. I believe this would be of interest not only for me. Thank you in advance, Bernhard
@Easiestswing29 күн бұрын
Hi Bernhard I am glad you are enjoying your Swing Caddy and agree that the indicated speeds are not very accurate. They seem to go the opposite way you describe at the top end as my normal driver speed is 105mph and whilst I can just about make it click at the 110 I feel I have to swing an awful lot faster than that to make it happen. I know that if I did this regularly it would not help me to create more speed. I think it may interest you to know that despite this I normally use mine set at 66 why so slow you might ask? Well if I should put any effort into the downswing it will click long before the ball - so I have to take a very relaxed downswing and then allow all the speed to happen through the ball. When it comes to hitting balls for real this seems to take all the effort out whilst allowing me to create speed effortlessly through the ball. This is much more similar to how the big hitters generate speed whereas the average golfer is putting in too much effort too early. Have some practice with it set at a speed where you have to be careful not to click too early and you will get some wonderful rewarding feelings from it.

@@Easiestswing Dear Philip, thank you so much for your very detailed (and yet, probaly, effortless) answer! I really appreciate any detail. Thank you also for the advice to set the Swing Impact to a medium mph level - I will certainly follow your advice. So far I could already recognize the importance of getting the click at the right spot (near impact) which only occurs in case of a smooth swing. May I tell you my "golf Christmas desire" (or might also be New Year desire): a video from you or your team to demonstrate how to proceed to increase the club head speed from my current 75 mph to say 85 mph. Why just 85 mph? Some 200 m (or 220 yards) total distance would significantly help me to safely achieve results around 90. Currently, I am in the range of about 95 to 100.

Hi Philip I am a mber of easiest swing, I have just recently moved to a complete set of hybrid clubs and graphite shafts, from ELEVEN suppliers I have comexacross a lot of seniors have done this. Have you any ideas of incorporating these in any lessons?.
@Easiestswing28 күн бұрын
Hi - I hadn’t heard of these before but they sound very interesting. I’ll do some research but please post some info in the club about them with some photos and it could create an interesting discussion.

@@Easiestswingthese clubs are brilliant for slow swing speeds, an ex pro pal of mine is using them, he has got back 20% more distance with the same loft. They are forgiving, accurate and long. He also carries a normal set of wedges, albeit that he uses the hybrid PW for 100 yard shots. Eleven hybrids are a must consider for seniors, they will enable folk to continue competing, and they are inexpensive

Not sure which audience this is aimed at, but there is no 'SECRET', you are teaching a 'proper' golf swing. If it is aimed at the 60-70 year olds, that ship has long since sailed, if they have golfed for 20-30-40 years and haven't found a decent swing, they certainly won't find it now. I am 72 in three weeks, handicap 6.1, best was 2, distance is dropping off but you play with what you have, my short game is in good shape and hitting 2-300 balls in the short game practice area will save far more strokes than getting fixated on trying to smash the driver with a poor swing. The driver is my favourite club and I can still carry it 220 yards, running out to 250-60 in the summer months, although I did move forward one tee box, blue to white, from 6500 to 6200 this year and enjoying better.
@Easiestswing29 күн бұрын
That’s an impressive handicap at 72 - well done.
@brianwatts9977Ай бұрын
Why don’t you use an average senior to demonstrate this. I have been playing since 1966. When I was in my thirties I had a clubhead speed of 96mph, now in my eighties my clubhead speed is 75 mpg. In you demo, you were hitting around 250 yards, with a clubhead speed of 100mph +, completely unrealistic for ordinary club senior golfers to obtain.
