My then 78-year-old partner went with me to see GY!BE, whom he had never listened to before. They were so loud that you felt it as much as heard it. I asked him partway through (shouting in his ear) what he thought, and he replied, "They're _mesmerizing_ ."

The song is about the sarajevo genocide - atrocities against humanity commited 1992 - 1995, the title of the song is "Mladic" because of war criminal and commandant ratko mladic who is currently rotting in jail

Yes.

The violinist is Sophie Trudeau: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sophie_Trudeau_(musician). Her violin really floats over the densely packed music and has been a Godspeed staple since after their first album. The song is most likely about the Bosnian Serb general Ratko Mladic, who is known as the Butcher of Bosnia, also shown by its Eastern European influences. Its an anti-war song about the atrocities committed in that conflict.

Yes, it floats. I agree. And thanks for the background. I did not look at the lyrics first, so this is good info.

Man it's kinda tough to listen to your favourite song through such awful audio quality, but still glad to find someone reacting to it! Enjoying digging through your backlog of videos at the moment, keep it up mate! :)

Yeah, I almost bailed in the middle...except it's a reaction channel. Once I put my toes in the water, it's too late. i can't react twice. But I did enjoy this cellphone video anyhow. Thanks PM.

GYBE is one of my absolute favorite bands, they’re still touring and killing it. I’ll see them again this fall, can’t wait. Im really hoping they play this song! If I can give a recommendation for another band, listen to Elliott Smith. His last album, from a basement on a hill is my personal favorite, RIP. King’s Crossing, Coast to coast, and shooting star are all great tracks to check out.

I've had some shows where I couldn't get tickets (or they were too expensive). I remember Radiohead being expensive AND sellling out. I never got to see them.

Not a word I use because it so weird, but you are right. I might add that to my vocabulary as it is spot on. Thanks.
