Seniors choosing to age at home

My ex husband helped his elderly mother stay at home in her poor health for her last years and now he is helping me with my advanced MS. He says it’s not how he pictured retirement but he knows how depressing nursing homes are after working maintenance in them.

But there is no support from govt for relatives to look after a family member. These caregivers save taxpayers at least $$80,000 a year.

The best way to handle this society created mess is to allow one to choose his/her exit from world in a planned way after certain age.

@yvonnerobert-carr8809 No, that is about a life that cannot decide for itself. Society upgrades itself with changing times. A good example is gay marriages. Already, Netherland and Switzerland have legalised this exit by choice concept, and a texas lady went to Switzerland and availed the facility.
