Welcome back to another episode of Board Games Are For Everybody!
This time we take a look at Senjutsu: Battle For Japan published by Stone Sword Games and Lucky Duck Games.
In Senjutsu players take control of a warrior defending the honor of their Daimyo and battling their opponents to see who comes out on top. Combining tactical movement and deck building elements creates a unique dueling game that can be enjoyed by 2 to 4 players, or on ones own in the games solo mode.
I just want to make a note that my explanations are to the best of my understandings of the rules. While they may not be 100% accurate, they are my best interpretations of the rules the rulebook set for the player. We, ourselves, had trouble with the rulebook and went to KZbin for guidance, only to be disappointed when we couldn't find any cohesive videos on how the whole game works; only bits and pieces. As a result I wanted to create this video in order to help other who may have been in the same situation that we faced.
Hopefully you all enjoyed the video! Hopefully I will see you all next time, but until then just remember that Board Games Are For Everybody!

I'm glad it was able to help you! That was what I had hoped it would do for some people when I made it, as we had trouble ourselves finding information on the rules. Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy the game!

Hi, I had some questions about defense cards and rules. If could you help me, ill aprecciate it. I just block one hex and thats the hex i choose in the begin of the turn? For example, there are defense cards, such as "Obedience" (Student's deck), which shows 3 hexes to block, but doesn't specify an initiative number. In this case, all 3 hexes are blocked, regardless of the number of advantage chosen, if the initiative is greater than the opponent's attack? In contrast, there's the card "Ember Block" (Warriors Deck) where there are also 3 possible hexes to defend, but in this case, right at the bottom, there's a number 8. I couldn't understand what the card meant. Can I block only on initiative 8? Some cards especify the ahead hexes with numbers, in this case, the defense only Works in The number o choose as initiative? Hope you understand...My english its not Very good.

@@miguelvo If I understand what you are asking, you are more or less asking about initiative in regards to defending an attack? If that is the case, the way I understand it is that Defense cards block provided they have a stronger initiative than the opponent (It makes sense to me that you would need to raise your shield in anticipation of an attack opposed to raising your shield after the attack has happened). You could also view it that so long as you meet the requirements of defending an attack (you shield icons covering all of your opponents attacking squares, or your shield icons covering the opponents location) that it defends regardless of priority. I suppose it is something that could be agreed upon as a house rule of sorts if you find some defenses aren't quick enough. But it could also be argue it factors into the strategy. In any case, hopefully that explanation helped a little bit!

The plus symbol litterally means you take the Stun card PLUS the Kamae change.

Can you jump on focus space on kame tree to get focus token?

To my understanding of the rules you are not allowed to jump to a focus spot, as the spot itself cannot be occupied. The only way to get a focus token is to move passed it during a movement on the track. In saying that, if you found it more streamlined, you could house rule that you can jump to the focus space, then move to the next space in line.
