Senjutsu: Solo Campaign Scenario 1

In this video I play through the first scenario of the Solo Campaign for Senjutsu. Using the Ronin character to defend a Noble woman.

Love this game, it really feels like an intense fight for your life! The second scenario looks incredible and the campaign seems really well done! Thanks for the playthrough, hopefully you can post more :) I think there were 3 important mistakes, Turn 2 (noblewoman too far away, you lose immediately I would think), turn 5 (AI would have attacked the noblewoman) and turn 6 (if you have a movement with multiple steps, they HAVE to be in the same direction), the rest is pretty minor. A few things: - Turn 1: you draw at the START of the round, not at the end. So you should have drawn Severing Cut before your first turn. - Turn 2 14:30: when you moved 2 you actually lost the game since the noblewoman was more than 2 hexes away from you (but you could have just moved her 1 hex up instead of down) - Turn 2 15:20: The yellow AI move was backwards not forwards - Turn 3 18:50: I believe this is the correct order, the counter happens immediately and interrupts the normal timing structure. - Turn 4 25:45: it's another move backwards, not forwards - Turn 5 27:25: I think the Yellow AI would have tried to attack the Noblewoman at this point instead of jumping to initiative 2, which means you would have lost unless you used your defense at initiative 7 to block the attack for the noblewoman (and taken the wound from the Blue AI) - Turn 6 30:33: you cancelled the move anyway, but be careful with movement, you cannot change the direction mid move. So if you have 2 movement forwards like on Trained Mind, you cannot go forward then forward-left. You have to do forward forward or forward-left forward-left, same for the rotations they have to be in the same direction. - Turn 6 35:15: I think it's fair, you technically know your deck and you can search it so it's fine to adapt the rotation, especially in solo. - Turn 7 36:50: you didn't do it but the rotation is before the attack either way, so you didn't have much of a choice here otherwise the damage dealt would have been different. Rolling Slash is my favourite card of the whole set!

Thanks for the comments, did make some mistakes as you have mentioned here. I didn’t realise you draw a card on first turn as you draw up to hand size. I was drawing a card at the start of each turn after first. Will check cards more carefully next time for sure.👍

Great video - thanks for sharing some gameplay. I'd love to see more solo action and hear your thoughts overall! Did you go hard mode - most of video you had 2 core cards plus only 4 in hand? I thought you said you should have drawn to 2+5 (after your block and counter attack).

Hey, thanks enjoyed the first solo scenario. I played on normal difficulty, but you draw just 1 card at the start of your turn, not up to 5, making you have to think about using multiple cards per turn. I plan to do more videos of the solo campaign or just some one shot games, where I can construct a deck. Do you have the game?

Question: at 14:38 you play "Horizontal cut". You are in green position, so you are only allowed to follow the orders over the "or" - line. But you attack the opponent using the "green" movement from above the line and the attack from below the line. Are you sure this is correct? Have I overseen something? Anyway good and informative video, keep on!

The "or" section is only referring to the two movement options on the card.

Got some rules wrong, like movement of ai and when to draw, but I believe the amount of cards in hand is correct as it’s 5 plus the two core cards.
