Senna's on track moves were almost dumb, but damn he was fast, nobody can deny that. Senna might've never been the cleanest driver, but that's what makes you a racing driver, the will to win

Nothing to do with Suzuka 1989. At Suzuka, Senna passed, having his front wheels almost at the high of Prost front wheels for a slow turn (chicane) on the right, meaning, he did most of the overtaking. Prost decided to anticipate his trajectory ( just at look the trajectory, you'll see that theoretically, his left tyre would have been outside the chicane, well on the right, on the kerb) and provoke the crash , winning the title. Nothing to do with a F3 battle and a mistake that happens
@pvtparts68794 жыл бұрын
That's not what happened at all. Prost was well ahead of Senna, slowed to make the corner and was already turning into the corner. Senna straightlined right into Prost. If Prost was not there Senna would of driven straight into the gravel trap as he could not of stayed on the track at that speed and angle, with another right hand corner following.
@GTAGIS4 жыл бұрын
@@pvtparts6879 lol ..if you do a forecast of Prost trajectory, his left front wheel would be inside the kerbs ! Not even talking about his right side, but left side !
@pvtparts68794 жыл бұрын
@@GTAGIS Forecast? What is this, the weather? When Prost started turning into the corner Senna was behind him. If Prost was not there at that angle and speed Senna would of been off into the gravel trap. Senna is not god, he is a dirty racer whose death has propelled him into some almost religious figure.

Brundle explains his aggressive style perfectly, Senna would stick his nose in or show a wheel, and let you decide if you were willing to crash both of them out over that place. dirty but all the best drivers in the sports history were dirty. even Lewis races dirty sometimes.

Both were wrong here. If you watch the racing line of all other cars in the other laps you can say "Senna should not have tried". However if you watch how much Brundle put the car to the left just before turning right... That was almost an invitation to a driver like Senna and who was way faster in the lap. I think Brundle thought " there's nothing i can do so i better leave the space" and changed his mind sooon after.

de mortibus nihil nisi bene, but this was a typical Senna move. Ayrton was used to bring other drivers to the point where they had to chose between being overtaken and being crashed into. back in these days, I always used to say that Ayrton would sooner or later get himself killed. And it is a bitter irony that in the end he died due to a technical failure that could have happened to anyone. Or, like Frank Williams said, "Ayrton ran out of luck".

Ayrron drove in a badly designed and prepared car - biiig difference!!
@TheColinChapman2 жыл бұрын
@@911936 where did you get the message that Martin Brundle‘s car might have been ‚better prepared‘? Ayrton drove for Rushen Green Racing in 1983, which was a top notch team in the british F3 championship. And even if it were true, that would not justify running other drivers over.
