I appreciate the comparison of unprocessed xlr against unprocessed 3.5mm jack! Thank you! Those audio presets are really intense though... I honestly liked the unprocessed audio better in my opinion.

Glad it was helpful! Thanks for the feedback on the presets. usually folks like them and ask me to upload them lol. If you are thinking about buying this mic, it's been wonderful!

@@TomWadeCine Yeah man, the first processed audio clip from the XLR adapter sounds really bad because you can hear the room tone coming in and out when you speak.

Interesting video , I have the MKE600 and Zoom 6, Ive never thought to test this. I must admit I think the unprocessed audio is nicer sounding and more natural/less intense. Great Stuff Bro ❤

Hey I have put my MKE 600 in my Sony EV 10 camera which has audio jack, but sound voice is not coming, although if I plug the mic in the laptop I can hear the sound properly.

Hi, in order for it to work on your camera, you need to have a battery and the power supply turned on. The camera doesn’t have phantom power so you must use the onboard battery on the mic. Also check to make sure your cables are all seated properly. Hope this helps

Right out the box no post processing: You hear less noise with the zoom f3 than in the 3.5 . Do you hear the noise when going 3.5 in camera ?
@TomWadeCine3 ай бұрын
yeah, I heard the same. The Preamps on the camera are not as good as the preamps on the F3 which I believe is -123dB

@@TomWadeCine what about a mix pre 10ii even less noise ?

thanks for this very useful approach and tests - I use myself the MKE600 as a run and gun mic directly on my Lumix S5, so much better than any Rode or Deity shotguns, or the MKE400 - one problem : never forget to chevk your battery and put it on ! (it's automatic on the MKE400), but for my face cams or interviews, I use a Rode NTG3 on a Zoom F6, and it's obviously better with the 32bits float - but even in that case, I leave the MKE 600 on the camera to get a second audio in case of problems (not so often, but how to avoid...) - I also use my MKE 600 with the Lumix XLR adaptor on the horse shoe, it's wonderful with a tripod, but always risky because of bad contacts between the cameda and the adaptor if moving - a slight defect too : the dead cat non usable with the provided support if positioned on the camera : I see part of it through the lens (and the provided support very fragile )

What do you think: Zoom f3 is better than Zoom h1 xlr? Zoom h1 xlr also has 32 bit recording. Which one better to buy?

I think it’s your preference, but your presets are enhancing the harsh sibilant sounds. Maybe too much noise canceling? That’s why you see people saying it sounds better unprocessed. Try and listen on different devices, the over processed sound is increasing listener fatigue. Sometimes a small adjustment can make a huge difference, but when we are so used to our presets it’s difficult to be objective. Just trying to offer some perspective.

I appreciate your perspective, thank you. It also has a lot to do with sound treatment and I was doing this from home rather than the studio. Cheers!

If I accidentally turn on the phantom power switch on this mic and turn on phantom power of the Panasonic xlr on camera adapter will it ruin the mke 600mic ?
