I just love sandalwood, it's in most of my autumn / winter fragrances. I have a sample of Santal Blond from Atelier Materi and that is gorgeous with a Hinoki wood note. As well as the creamy woody Avant L'Orage from Maison Matine (that one's similar to This Is Her but smoother and less scratchy to my nose). And I love Sandalwood Temple by Sana Jardin. I just love woods full stop, my faves! Sandalwood, cedar, guaiac wood... yummy! 🖤

Hi Chantel! You are stunning as always dear! Hope you've been well! I've been meaning to get my hands on the vintage formulation of Guerlain Samsara, which is the quintessential Mysore sandalwood which in its natural form is no longer being used in perfumery (I think this particular tree where the mysore was extracted is actually extinct now, but please don't quote me on that). Santal Majuscule is forever going to be on my list, but judging from the fact that I decluttered most of my Serge Lutens fragrances due to performance issues I have with them with my personal skin chemistry (with the exception of Un Bois Vanille, I still have that one, and I would've kept Datura Noir and Chergui if they lasted longer on me and projected just a bit stronger, but alas, even after letting my bottles age a year, the performance didn't get better) I'm a bit hesitant to go in for a blind buy with this one. I'm going to sample it first. VC&A sounds beautiful! I love a good tropical touch to my fragrances. :)
