I think the finale was too rushed, they needed to wrapped stuff very fast but come on, there are 8 characters so they really did a great job. Was it a bit predictable? yes but was it bad? Nahh, not for me at least. I would love to see more of sense8, but it ended so well that I feel like I don't wanna see anything bad happening to the cluster, although there are lots of paths and stories that can come from that ending.

Loved the finale. Rushed as hell but that's definitely not there fault. All the elements they introduced would have been great over 5 seasons. That's how the story was planned. Particularly loved how they resolved the Kala, Rajan, and Wolfgang love triangle 😍 So sad it's gone 😢

SPOILERS : I was actually surprised how they wrapped loose end so quickly and efficiently, ei Sun's storyline. But there are still some things in which got answered What happens capheus sister Sun's friends in prison and the future of the Bak company. Will's life as a cop? Does he become a agant for the now good BPO so he can esily be with Riley whenever she travels? How did the election go? Does Wolfgang go ilon to be the "King of the North"? I don't worry about Litos movie. I know it'll work out. If the show is ever picked up again or rebooted I see a couple of avenues. 1. Lilia's cluster coming for revenge 2. A cop within the now good BPO 3. The series now follows an entire different cluster with the original cluster members dropping in every so often 4. We see the event of this series but through another clusters eyes and experience. 5.another cluster coming up that thinks sensates should rule over humans instead of living alongside them. Its bitter sweet because the finale really did feel like a finale, a good finale even. But I still want more.

SPOILERS.. . . . . . . . I thought it was very fan service in many parts especially with all of the non-sensate characters all being there and all being cool with everything. The action scene with the bus etc. Was especially that. I didn't mind the extra plot points added in TBH I felt like they really wanted to get in some things that were planned for later seasons and I appreciated seeing a bit of what could have been. Here's the main kicker for me: they didn't stay in London. This episode/movie was EXPENSIVE and they clearly used what could have easily spent on at least half of a full season. So this just makes me more angry at Netflix. Budget could have been worked out they just didn't want to. Loose thread: the sensates that visit Capheus in the end of season 2 are nowhere to be seen.
@coline39476 жыл бұрын
Victor Abraham I completely agree! The fact that all the non sensate characters just showed up out of nowhere one by one kinda annoyed me. (I mean how did Kala’s husband find her so quickly, it doesn’t really make sense). Too bad they had to rush things. It looks like they could have made at least 4 normal episodes which, in my opinion, would have been better ! (Sorry if I made mistakes, english isn’t my mother tongue so...)

You took the words right out of my mouth. I did acknowledge from a storytelling point of view that it was incredibly rushed, many characters and story lines were just written of with one line (Joong-Ki suddenly being in prison and Mun being out of coma and fine), just like the whole final action scene with killing the bad guys and nobody being seriously in fatal danger... It was sort of predictable. But as you said, they did the best they could. Absolutely. With that limited time, of course you want a banging action-y finale. Last episode and all. So absolutely, as a fan, I adored it. Now to the parts that were missing (or that I was missing). First of all, the Anonymous Guy asking Nomi for a favor in return of the E-Death in season 2 (I think episode 5). That was something I was really interested in but it wasn't really mentioned ever again. Then, one of the biggest things, Riley birthing a Cluster. I found her backstory to be incredibly heartbreaking. The whole situation with her losing her husband and her baby, with her PTSD and all... I really feel for that girl. In season 2 however, I felt they were a bit missing out on that part since it has been a huge part in season 2. I wish we could have had a conversation about it or something. But my main point is, it would perfectly make sense, story wise, for her to birth a Cluster to come full circle with that arc. But then again, it would have needed at least one season worth of build-up instead of just a 2.5 hour finale. Next one is Capheus's eletion. Yes, they touched on it here and there, but I wanted to see the political struggle, the change, the overall climate in his story, maybe even more and more gruesome assassination-attempts. I just wanted more. Same with Lito's movie. They build up this other actor, Lito's love interest in his movie, in 2x10 so interestingly, I would have loved to see more of him. And the struggles of making the movie, probably. Then of course the story with Rajan and Ajay, which was completely missing in the finale. I still have no idea what Ajay was up to. And I just need to know. Sun vs. her brother. That one line that he is in prison now is not good enough. I wanted at least half a season worth of struggle and drama to follow. Especially with that newly introduced politician in 2x11. Then of course, the whole story with Angelica and Jonas and the Chairman was incredibly rushed, I would have loved more detail on this and on Angelicas original cluster. And Lilas cluster. There was so much potential. I was incredibly disappointed that there was (understandably) not enough time to elaborate more on her. I think she was not necessarily a complete evil person. She died too soon and I just wanted to see more of her, and more detail of everyone in her cluster. And of course, the Lacuna and Bodhi. That was just too fast. More of that in season 3. Thanks. :D I could probably go on, but this is evident enough that a 3rd season has more than enough material to exist. :D

The show was so cool and representative. and original, eye opening even. Then it just became good music, mostly gay sex(even the straight people), huge crowds and generic fight scenes. After I realized it I really couldn't get back into the story. At the end the story just became a jumbled mess. I think its cause it was rushed. After the first episodes the show became less of a story and more of an art piece. Half way through I had to look up how much all that cost and it turns out, the show was cancelled cause the production cost was too high.

Technically, whispers and lila could be alive; they're shown walking towards the helicopter. Doesn't show them getting in. also there's no reaction to the bazooka being launched at them. So Wolfgang could've just blown up an empty helicopter with just a pilot in it unknowingly, and whispers and lila could be getting away on a boat? I think they did that intentionally just so that if it is picked up again someday, they could bring it back with the same antagonists. But this ending does wrap it up nicely for now.

I totally agree , at some point i didn't care about the plot because i though it was quite confusing and hard to follow and i had to admit that i did not watch any recap:( but i don't regret because even when watched season 1 and 2 i didn't care much about all the bpo story because the best of the show was the conecction between the sensates and their individual stories . I believe that if the show would have been about their personal lifes and just that , i would have been as good as it was or better with less cost production maybe. Anyway, my favourite character was Sun ♥♥
@melcosta926 жыл бұрын
I was getting really bored and unsatisfied with the episode during the first 1h30. I thought it was being really cliché, with the Sun/Agent-Can't Remember-His-Name romantic dull-liners, Wolfgang/Kala also, and some other stuff that was really dull, and with the meshing of all the plot to make it into something that could be terminated there and then. But the last hour made up for it, and interestingly most of it due to secondary characters like Bug, Rajan and Dani. I think this show always shone not only because of it's main characters but very much to do with its supporting cast. They were awesome and that all-together-now orgy at the end, making them part of the "group" was great to see because the show was ALL of them. Kala's moment was also one of the things that kind of dulled me down. I was not expecting it and, like you, I kind of wanted that punch in the gut, even if I didn't want anything to really happen to her. It was a well conceived moment, nontheless (with the exception that I don't understand how the sensates wouldn't know if she was still alive or not.... but let's not get into scifi details :P)

I think the action scenes was also meh. #Spoiler In one scene wolfgang and his friend were at the staircase trying to open a door in the house were they have kept Whisper. And suddenly we see BPO's shooter firing gun from the opposition side. They couldn't even aim at wolfgang and wolfgang who probably got shocked to see the attack killed all the shooters

tbh, i loved how they wrapped up the series. I was also pretty surprised to learn that the show was cancelled at only 2 seasons but it was similar to daredevil in a way. I loved loved the show, but this finale felt too easy, emotionally underwhelming, with characters thrown in there because it's the end, some of the sensates almost ignored, and the whole episode had weird pacing (goes from crazy action to planning to more action to nothing). For me it was glaringly, painfully obvious that they were trying to crush a season or more of Stuff into 2 and a half hours, so it came off as REALLY rushed, but it’s hard to blame them for that. On the one hand I do agree with you that the ending was easy-way-out levels of happy, but on the other, that doesn’t ruin anything for me. Sense8 is a show about love and beauty and bonds and joy and wonder, and having an ending that’s Just Happy is a pretty welcome reprieve from uh. The world in general. I do think more skilled writers with more time on their hands could’ve used some serious tragic moments to heighten that message of love and beauty above all, but again, imo that would’ve just been bonus material rather than necessary to make the finale land and feel satisfying.

It was a crazy roller coaster ride and yeah they had to rush a lot of things. I thought that Sun and her boyfriend were a little 'too good to be true.' Like I am happy for Sun but life has to crush us to keep the tension that make a good dramatic story with a lot of action and deep emotional punches. That would make it good. But yeah. Then they decided to just play it safe :) But it does give a 'feels good' nice ending. I felt happy even if it's a cliche easy ending lol.

I’m very happy that they had the finale for the show, but agree that the entire main plot with BPO became very rushed and simple. The ending fight scene was very stereotypical and lame...death by helicopter explosion..come on. Overall I really did like the show, I understand that they had to tie up so many loose ends, they did a great job in that regard.

Best series ever! I think it couldn't end any other way, but... its so sad that we didn't get to se any of the characters lives outside BPO and their connection. I would have loved a third season. I don't think that everything is settled really. The whole capheus and sun plot is still far from complete. Like someone said, whispers didn't necessarily die nor lila, will stuff with kala even work? so many things that could be explored, its heart breaking to see a show with so much potential to be told cancelled, while they're making a ... fucking 13 reasons season 3?!
@Coff1nf33der6 жыл бұрын
It reminded me a bit of the last season of sons of anarchy. What started as a smaller interpersonal story became full on action, action, action with lots of guns and killing without any afterthought by everyone. Sense 8 had a lot of potential and especially season 1 was great. In a few moments, the message got a bit too cheesy (especially at the wedding of Nomis sister. Although it was super funny to me, how they portrayed the transphobic mother as bad when she said, that Nomi would make the wedding all about herself anyway and low and behold, Nomis speech is 90% about her transformation and that her sister accepted her. Was basically me, me, me, oh yeah my sister), but overall I wish we had gotten all the planned seasons.

I was actually super happy they didn’t kill off Kala. I feel like a lot of shows now (game of thrones, the walking dead) rely on the shock of killing off characters for views or drama or plot. And I think that’s kind of lazy storytelling. Sure it might have been good a few years ago, but it’s such a popular thing now. I think having all the characters succeed and get a happy ending is actually a bit revolutionary in terms of where tv and film currently are. (Especially when you remember the Bury Your Gays trope, or the fact that people of color are killed off more often than white ones) so I think Sense8 needed to show all these diverse people getting happy endings. I mean, a black woman and a transgender woman getting married?? What was the last show you watched were that happened?? So I totally agree that it was heavy on the fan service, but the fan service was just people wanting to see these characters they loved and related to happy and healthy. And I think it says something about how messed up current film/tv is if what viewers want most is just a happy ending.

The sub plot with bpo, is strange? I would have loved to know how big bpo could have been. I mean what if their was an annoymyous head guy or girl? Which would make Lila seem like child’s play. I love sense8 and I do agree that the series finale was a fan service type of thing. With most shows I would have been mad about that. But with this I didn’t care. All of them were heroes and were given a happy ending. The senates partners were welcomed with open arms, and also got to be amazing as well. Their are some fans that hated kala having a lover and husband. Because of representation of an Indian woman and WolfgangxKala are endgame. But this show has said a big fuck you to social norms. Technically all of them are one giant polyamory relationship. If the show was given a third season. I’m sure they would show the partners having an adjustment period. But I’m satisfied by what we were given and every characters story arc. Especially kala’s, as a woman of color I immediately gravitated towards her. And her talking her partners through reviving her was pretty wicked.

I was dissapointed with the finale :( It felt super rush, the action scenes were bad, the dialoges were bad, the visuals didn't look good enough compared to all previous episodes, and how the hell could the triangle Wolfgang/Kala/Rajan even work?!?! Wasn't one of the points of Kala storyline that she didn't love Rajan and didn't want to marry him in the first place? I think they wanted to pull an unexpected relationship like Dani/Lito/Hernando but didn't succed. And I agree that if Kala had died it would've been so much better, even if nobody actually wanted her o any of the cluster to die.
