Nice kata tips about possible/probable 'reason for the move'. Yahara Sensei's application of a throw and his tip not to lean forward is fair enough for posture [which seems an obsession in Shotokan]. However, if we look at schools such as Shorin Ryu and others, they clearly do lean forwards to show the application as a throw/trip.

They obsess so much about it, that the JKA now ruined Nijushiho. Just watch how Asai executed it and how Naka does it. It has become a sterilized kata.

@@sassuki They wanted to standardize the instructors. No personality allowed. Is a fair point in my opinion but lack of a given instructor signature. That was great in the past. Problem with no STD is after a ryu Head Sensei die the spread of the other Sensei just transform the idea like happened in Italy; in UK and USA with Shotokan associations. Even in Italy changed yoko geri keage for kekomi in Kata
