The goddam Joe Rogan references were amazing. The joint issues with bjj was hilarious as every competitive black belt I know has had spinal surgery😂😂. The wanting to meet Bruce lee but crying to much to say it was great.

"I do it for money". I'm an ex Taekwondo instructor and I can't even be mad, your delivery was too good. I wanna hate on the jabs you take every time these videos come out, but the insults are so fairly spread out and true for each martial art, I simply cannot. 👏

It's funny, but at the same time. I trained for like 7 years and was still a step away from the Black Belt. Stopped after tendinitis and covid (and I wasn't feeling it all that much in the end, so I just left it at that). I really wasn't rushing for it or anything tho, I just liked the recreation and discipline stuff, also it's pretty "light" and aerobic and even tho I wouldn't say I fight well, given I haven't had that much contact, I think it fits me.

I joined a TKD dojo this week with the end goal of tricking. I have a boxing background, but I want to learn to do cool athletic looking kicks with my son. I told them that and they were excited to start showing me stuff immediately. Theyve got kids in there doing tornado kicks. I want to learn all of that. I dont care about fight application. It just looks fun.

@@NDOhioan Agreed, 15 or 16 isn't that bad to be a Black Belt in Taekwondo. Anyone below that age, shouldn't be awarded a Full Black Belt, but rather a Junior Black Belt, that is if they earn it and are capable of holding it.

@@NDOhioan Don't know about Judo, but BJJ has a belt system for practioners 15 years old or younger, that goes like this: White Grey/White Line Grey Grey/Black Line Yellow/White Line Yellow Yellow/Black Line Orange/White Line Orange Orange/Black Line Green/White Line Green Green/Black Line And once they turn 16, they are eligible to go to: Blue Purple Brown Black And so on, so forth. There are no full or junior black belts in BJJ for anyone 15 or under.

This serie is brilliant, I hope if you do a next " Every martial arts syle in the same room" you invite Savate or Sanda/Sanshou, I can imagine them discussing with Muay Thai or the others call Sanda a mix of kickboxing and judo.

For those who don't know, Bartitsu was actually THE original Mixed Martial Art back in the Victorian era, and definitely WAY ahead of it's time. Barton-Wright was probably the first person to publicise jujutsu in Britain, let alone to combine it with English boxing and French Savate (kickboxing) as well as some other arts. In short, he recognized the need to combine weapons, punching, kicking, and grappling for a complete self-defense martial art, well over 100 years ago. He even had actual Judo and Jujutsu teachers come from Japan to work as instructors at his club, as well as respected teachers of various European martial arts.

To be fair…. In like the 70s/80s any martial art with punches and kicks was called karate, all forms of kick boxing in America were called karate etc etc, like if you watch the film Best of the Best, it’s very clearly about taekwondo but they recruit the guys for the US national karate team lol

Noooo Aikido :'( Btw, there was a lot of unused potential on this video, Seth. Martial arts could invite others that are really weird yet somewhat similar to them. We could have had drunken boxing being invited by boxing, letwei (again) invited by muay thai, Sumo invited by Judo or BJJ, Japanese Jujutsu by one of the mentioned two, Tai-Chi by Aikido, Kempo invited by Krav Maga, Systema (again) by Kempo/Krav Maga or literally any martial art based on self defense, there could be Taekkyon invited by either Taekwondo or Capoeira, there is also Hapkido that can be invited by TKD. There are many more like Kali but i'll just wanted to give ideas

^_^ I was half expecting TKD to have invited Capoeira since they learn a lot of the same kicks. The Capoeira guys just dance while doing it (and get all the girls).
