Hey Guru, I've been going back to some of the very first fragrances I got, and one I feel goes really underappreciated is Versace's The Dreamer. Surprised that it never got flankered. Do you know of anything that goes in a similar direction? The slightly dirty, spicy, warm floral sort of thing (aside from Toy Boy which I also love!)

I found that Mancera roses Vanille and Montale intense cafe smell nearly identical

I been into fageramces for 17 years now and yet I still have nit smelled br 540 is it just like a sweet cotton candy smell thats sickly sweet?

Hmm ok thanks for the info I will get a decant of br540 juts so I understand when they say like or clone etc I mostly use amouage my fav house and they don't have a sickly sweet I have not tried the newer amouage yet .

It's sweet and it has green aspects as well. Think bright crystallized red sweetness.

BR 540 is so overplayed. I got Menagerie rouge, Instant crush, Electimuss Trajan.

@robes08 I liked them 2 years ago, but right now I am in my 80s and 90s phase: Lalique pur homme, Jaipur, Lagerfeld classic and such.

BR 540 is the epitome of synthetic fragrances. I don't like it, and I don't like this one either. This scent profile is unpleasant.

it is synthetic in the sense the smell don't resemble anything natural! but BR is a god tier scent!

BR is God Tier. According to sales & brands mimicking the same scent profile. The problem with BR? It's commonly over-sprayed. Like yo, literally everybody at the grocery store can smell you coming from 7 feet away. Nose blindness is real. Yikes!
