Being today the Holy Feast of Pope St. Pius X, 2022 September 3rd, Catholics must invoke the intercession of this Holy Pope. Pope Saint Pius X (Italian: Pio), born Giuseppe Melchiorre Sarto (2 June 1835 - 20 August 1914), was head of the Catholic Church from August 1903 to his death in 1914. Pius X is known for vigorously opposing modernist interpretations of Catholic doctrine, promoting liturgical reforms and orthodox theology. He directed the production of the 1917 Code of Canon Law, the first comprehensive and systemic work of its kind. Pius X was devoted to the Marian title of Our Lady of Confidence; while his papal encyclical Ad diem illum took on a sense of renewal that was reflected in the motto of his pontificate. He advanced the Liturgical Movement as the only Pope to favor the use of the vernacular language in teaching catechesis and encouraged frequent reception of holy communion by relaxing the fasting requirements and lowering the age for First Communion, which became a lasting innovation of his papacy. In addition, he strongly defended the Catholic religion against indifferentism and relativism. Like his predecessors, he promoted Thomism as the principal philosophical method to be taught in Catholic institutions. As Roman Pontiff, he vehemently opposed modernism and various nineteenth-century philosophies, which he viewed as an import of secular errors incompatible with Catholic dogma. Pius X was known for his overall rigid demeanor and sense of personal poverty. He frequently gave homily sermons in the pulpit every week, a rare practice at the time. After the 1908 Messina earthquake he filled the Apostolic Palace with refugees, long before the Italian government acted. He rejected any kind of favours for his family, to which his close relatives chose to remain in poverty living near Rome. During his pontificate, many famed Marian images were granted a canonical coronation, namely the Our Lady of Aparecida, Our Lady of the Pillar, Our Lady of the Cape, Our Lady of Chiquinquira of Colombia, Our Lady of the Lake of Mexico, Our Lady of La Naval de Manila, Virgin of Help of Venezuela, Our Lady of Carmel of New York, and the Immaculate Conception within the Chapel of the Choir inside Saint Peter's Basilica were granted its prestigious honors. After his death, a strong cult of devotion followed his reputation of piety and holiness. He was beatified in 1951 and was canonized as a Catholic saint on 29 May 1954. The traditionalist Catholic priestly Society of Saint Pius X is named in his honor while a grand statue bearing his name stands within St. Peter's Basilica; and his birthtown was renamed Riese Pio X after his death.

@Lynn Carpenter End of true pope after St. Pius X? The church enemies face by all Vatican II Popes is much greater challenge as the enrmies are not outside but inside the Church occupying position. Vatican II Popes are great saints particularly St. JP2 as demons confessed they failed during St. JP2 pontificay. Godbless

@@captainquint25 I was raised solely in the Post Vatican; I have no memories of kneelers, Mass in Latin. I only know Norvus Ordo. I was unaware of the abuse of the Mass till I saw a video that stunned me. I wonder what I have not been exposed to in the rich history and traditions of Catholicism. My university degree is from a Catholic Institution and what I am hearing they are doing now leaves me speechless.

This explanation reminds me of the New Age "mystery school" explanation of religion... that certain universal principles are at the root of all great religions and those who study these principles can arrive at the "real" truth and become like gods, creating their own reality. This error is founded in human pride and is extremely hard to let go of completely, for those who have fallen into it.

I guess according to the Godless, perverted, Democrats and other modernists I'm on the wrong side of history being a "Deplorable" for President Trump and a hardcore, old school, fundamentalist Roman Catholic. I love our Catholic Church, but then again, Jesus was also considered a 'Deplorable' and certainly was hardcore for doing the Father's Will through the love of the Holy Spirit. So, in the end, I just want to say we are in good company. God bless and let the fight rage since we through the Grace of the Cross and Precious Blood have won!!!

I think it's an explanation of how our bishops and other Church leaders were influenced by secular psychology to not take problematic behaviors and their warning signs seriously. The example given is removing offending priests from their parish assignments, shipping them off to a rehab center, then reassigning them to new parishes where they simply continued to abuse other children.

We must not be modernists in my area because I have never heard any of this ever claimed by a priest nor laity. A lot if it sounds really horrible. I went to Catholic school, have priests in the family, and my wife teaches religion at a Catholic School. However, I don't fully understand some of what he says about science.

Your examples are spot on except for #6-8. Perhaps the example should be the modernists lack of embracing geocentrism. All encompassing is this teaching which has been under attack since the 1600's which rejects scripture, rejects God inspired word and modernizes scripture as solely "a man's perspective". The Church has been reduced to only religion and not in charge of the natural sciences. Modernism embraces evolution and rejects creationism and geocentrism so much that our priests cannot fathom the truth of geocentrism. We have embraced a bunch of atheistic non -Catholic scientists whose heads are spinning with excuses for heliocentrism. If you dare to embrace geocentrism you are an out cast. Well, nowhere did the Church give an official statement for heliocentrism, just weak clerics obliged their oppositions. This idea is so central to modernists. Embracing geocentrism obliterates modernists!!

How about this. The Bible isn't a science text book explaining the mechanics of how the universe was created. Therefore, anyone who reads Genesis chapters 1,2, and 3 as if they were historical accounts of what actually took place will fall into error. So, the Bible teaches the truth that God Almighty created everything. Science teaches us how He did it. By the way, the resurrection of Jesus was a historical fact. If an infrared camera had been in the tomb, we would have a video of His resurrection.

Science does not teach evolution, nor does it teach that the Earth was created in more than 6 days. Science is a methodology for inquiry into the natural world - that is all. Godless men, claiming to speak in the name of science, claim that the world came into existence through natural processes, and that science has proven this. But science has not, and neither can it prove this. On the contrary, however, vast swathes of scientific evidence from varied disciplines: genetics, anatomy, paleontology, cosmology, geology, in fact corroborate the perennial teaching of the Catholic Church, and contradict the atheistic god of the gaps that is evolution. Two simple examples of proof from the sciences demonstrating the falsity of evolutionary theory are: 1) the great dearth of so called "missing links" in paleontology, and 2) the vastly deleterious effects that mutations have on populations and it's manifest deficiency as a vehicle for increasing genetic complexity. On the other hand, one example of scientific proof for the existence of Adam and Eve: the finding in genetics that all humans are descended from one man and one woman, termed "Mitochondrial Eve" and "Y-chromosomal Adam".
